• Increased agency - All participants have a voice and all are invested in the work and solution.

What do our students think?
I like Design Thinking because it helps us find solutions to real problems… It feels like we have made a difference, like we have the power to make changes. The council liked our idea and we feel proud of what we have created.
Year 10 student
I think the whole Design Thinking process is helpful in finding new ideas quickly. I like that we get to present our ideas to other people for feedback because it helps improve our ideas as a team.
Year 9 student
Our teachers? Design Thinking has allowed me as facilitator, a teacher and as a designer of learning to provide students with an innovative approach to solving real world, authentic problems.
Chris, teacher
Design Thinking has empowered our students to think in new ways , design new products for real-world problems and created passionate, articulate learners.
Kirstine, teacher
Our community partners?
It’s great to hear from the perspective of the kids. They have such innovative ideas! Once the ideas for these products are finalised, we’ll look to action these items and tie them into the Ingleburn Plan of Management. We’ll definitely be using many of these ideas.
Roy, Senior Environment Officer, Campbelltown City Council
