I have spent the past 4 years as President trying to build up interest, excitement and commitment to the Club Championship series. The results coming into the final round set the perfect scene for a fantastic final showdown. Good luck to the members in with a chance whether it’s for the Club Championship or President’s Cup. It’s sure to be an exciting finish as I know each contender will give their absolute all to take home the main prize! Our volunteer numbers over the past few months have been fantastic. Unfortunately, as the year goes on, injuries seem to prevent more members from running. It is great to see these members down at Bradbury showing their support and helping out. Thank you! With the completion of the Club Championship series, comes the Fisher’s Ghost Fun Run. This is an all hands on deck event. We have for many years partnered with Campbelltown Council to put this event on for the wider community. Please, if you haven’t already done so, put your hand up to help out! It’s great exposure for the club! The Eliminator Champion of Champions Event is also just around the corner. Get down to the track on Tuesday 13 th November for a great race and post event BBQ! Always a fun night! Don’t forget the Presentation Night is quickly approaching. Come along to Gledswood to celebrate the year that was 2018. If you haven’t already booked your ticket – speak to Tania or Emma! The weekend just gone saw a large bunch of CJC members run from Camden Hospital to the Track for the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer. This event raises money for a very worthy cause and it is fantastic to see so many members getting behind it. Congratulations to John Smith and all his team for a job well done. (Note: My eyes are still trying to un-see Billy!) Thank you also to Michele Borodzicz who organised a great Chicken Run. We were blown away by the support for the event this year but also not surprised. This is such an enjoyable event that caters for all our members. I know everyone enjoyed – even the sore losers!!!!
