Now to calculate the current, simply apply ohms law I=V/R where I stands for current, V stands for voltage and R stands for Resistance. Now simply substitute V with the AC mains Voltage and R with the calculated Capacitive Reactance Xc and that's it. You will get the current in terms of Milli Ampere's.

Well you can calculate the estimated output current of the circuit by the formula Xc=1/C............where Xc means "Capacitive Reactiance" whose SI unit is Ohms, is 2F (F is the frequency of the AC mains, value of is 22/7 approximately considered as 3.14) and C is the value of the capacitor in Micro Farads. Now once you calculate the value of Xc, divide the value by 1000. This will give you the Capacitive reactance in Kilo Ohms.

Well the capacitive reactance is responsible to minimize magnitude of the AC mains. Then the reduced AC mains is rectified by the bridge and the DC output from the bridge is filtered by the electrolytic filter capacitor. Voltage division principle is not applicable in this circuit.
