Applying to LIM College as a transfer student is easy. Transfer students need to have graduated from high school and taken classes at a college or university, but there’s no minimum number of credits required. Simply submit the following to the Office of Admissions:

• Application. Visit us at www.limcollege.edu/apply to apply online or download the application.

• SAT or ACT scores if you have 15 credit hours or fewer completed from an accredited college or university at the time of your application.

• Essay. Please see the application for specific details on the application essay.

• Transcripts from your high school and all colleges attended regardless of whether you expect or desire to receive credit for previous work.

• Two letters of recommendation.

LIM College operates on a rolling admissions basis; however, we strongly encourage all transfer students to apply as early as possible in order to provide sufficient time for review and credit evaluation.

TRANSFER CREDIT GUIDELINES

1. Transfer credits are awarded for grades of C or higher. (C- and D will be accepted for students transferring in with an associate degree).

2. All courses must be 100-level or above to be accepted. Remedial courses may be evaluated for English and mathematics placement purposes.

3. Where course equivalency is evident, credit will be given for specific courses at LIM College; courses that are not direct transfers, but similar in scope to courses taught at LIM College, may be accepted for general liberal arts credit(s).

4. The maximum number of accepted transfer credits that may be applied toward an associate degree is 32.

5. The maximum number of accepted transfer credits that may be applied toward a bachelor degree is 65.

6. A maximum of 30 liberal arts elective credits will be accepted.

7. All students must be aware of the academic residency requirement. It is mandatory that the last consecutive 33 credits of an associate degree, and the last consecutive 43 credits of a bachelor degree, be completed at LIM College.

8. LIM College is a fashion and business college, and therefore does not recommend future transfer students take only liberal arts courses at other schools. We encourage students to review our online catalog when choosing coursework for possible future transfer. www.limcollege.edu/CourseCatalog

9. If you’re transferring from a community college, go to www.limcollege.edu/ArticulationAgreements to find out more about our articulation agreements and transfer guides.
