Bringing Refuge to Children at Risk
Launched in 2010, we are partnering with local chruches
and organizations to meet the tremendous spiritual
needs of at-risk girls and boys. Our partners provide food,
shelter, education, medical care, and whatever else is
needed to care for their physical needs.
Pastor Daniel heard the call of the Lord to minister
to the children of the slums in Kathmandu. He started
with an Awana club. He came to know kids who lived
on their own at the ages of seven and eight. They survived
by begging and scavenging for food in the trash and
petty theft. Some of them have parents who have died or
abandoned them. Some have fathers who do not know
they exist. While some of them have come to know the
heavenly Father, after the Awana club they go back
to shacks, abusive families, or cardboard boxesin the street.
Pastor Daniel is committed to helping these boys.
Ten boys have been chosen to live with the pastor’s family.
Their lives have been transformed.

Your gift helps equip church leaders to reach kids forChrist in Nepal. Here is what Awana leaders had
to say about the Seed Planters Training:
“I am a Bible college graduate. Right after graduating, I started working in the church among the children. But I did not know how to teach them properly. I was in need of some kind of tool to teach the children. Thatwas the time I had received an invitation letter to attend Awana Seed Planters training. When I completed the Awana training I got so excited and started Awana. So many children started coming to my church every week. One of the children in club was from a Hindu family and accepted Jesus as his personal savior. He was so excited about Jesus. Heloved to sing songs and share the gospel to anybody and everybody. Recently, he led his whole family to Christ. Now they are regularly attending our church.

Before 1960, no Christian was officially allowed to live in the Hindu Kingdom of Nepal. Nevertheless, the Church in this country has experienced amazing growth over the past four decades.Today, there are estimates of 8,000 congregation with up to 1,000,000 believers.
In 1999 God called my wife, Manju, and I to become Awana missionaries. Realizing the urgency of the time we live in, my wife and I have been leading the effort to extend the Awana Ministry into the country's 75 districts.
In just 13 years, Awana has grown from no clubs to over 1,500 clubs. The ministry needs a national office/training facility to adequately serve current and future clubs. We have a dream that this facility will also be a place of hope for children. This facility will provide space for a large Awana club, after school educational support, and safe recreational activities. Awana already has identified a building and land to purchase. Cost for this project is $277,280.
Awana has been a great blessing to the churches in Nepal. God is preparing the hearts of the next generation to serve Him. Right now, sitting at your home, you can be involved in our ministry to share the gospel with the children and youth in Nepal.
