Principles of Lesson Planning

Principles of Learning / Motivation

Class room Teachers support and chal lenge every day, bui ld ing knowledge of fundamentals and advanced concepts and skills while encouraging curiosity and a love of learning

The Training Module is well founded in the strong Learning Theories and Principles. It introduces the teachers to i m p o r t a n t P r i n c i p l e s s u c h a s 'Readiness, Exercise, Effect, Recency and so on ' and the teachers will gain insight into Bloom's Taxonomy as well as Gardner's Multiple Intelligence.

Good lesson planning is an often invisible but absolutely essential part of all good teaching

Teachers

1. Realize the value of planning lessons,

2. Gain an awareness of the elements common to good lesson plans, and

3. Create their own lesson plan "skeleton" or framework (to use when they teach) After that they will learn about elements common to good lesson plans, and see various formats for organizing these elements. T h e n they will be ready to...create Their own lesson plan format with the e lement s that t the i r teaching purpose and style, and get feedback on this lesson plan.

Classroom Management &

Pedagogy

Teaching Methods and

Evaluation Techniques

Classroom management requires a wide variety of skills and techniques that teacher s u se to keep s tudent s organized, orderly, focused, attentive, on task, and academically productive during a class. When classroom-management strategies are executed effectively, teachers minimize the behaviors that impede learning for both individual students and groups of s tudent s , wh i le max im i z ing the behaviors that facilitate or enhance learning. In practice, classroom-management techniques may appear deceptively simple, but successfully and seamlessly integrating them into the instruction of students typically requires a variety of sophisticated techniques and a signicant amount of skill and experience. The Training Module offers clear understanding of CRM which is inseparable from good teaching.

Learn ing i s dependent on the pedagogical approaches teachers use in the classroom. A variety of pedagog ica l approaches a re common in schools , but some strategies are more effective and a p p r o p r i a t e t h a n o t h e r s . T h e effectiveness of pedagogy often depends on the particular subject m a t t e r t o b e t a u g h t , o n understanding the diverse needs of different learners, and on adapting to the on-the-ground conditions in the classroom and the surrounding context. The Training Module offers c l e a r u n d e r s t a n d i n g o f h o w Pedagogy informs teacher actions, judgments, and teaching strategies by taking into consideration theories of learn ing, understandings of students, their needs and the interests of individual students.

Phonics Classroom Pedagogy

“ If I can’t learn the way you teach, Please, teach me the way learn “!

Effective Classroom Pedagogy enhances the chances of teachers to individualize the learning process by understanding the learning pace, learning style and learning level of every child in the class. While addressing Young learners below 5yrs, teachers require special skills to understand, discover and interact with them to create an original learning platform so that it will help children connect with the later learning in formal education.ECE pedagogy module focuses on Gross motor & Fine motor development through activities ,apart from focusing on developing Socializing Skills and Emotional well being of a child at a tender age. This module focuses on Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence analysis to create a personalized learning ladder for all the learners. The outcome of the module enhances the observation skills of all the trainees apart from acquiring special skills to impart/teach the way child wants to learn.

Early Childhood Educaon

Introduction of Phonics not only helps the child to read but also spell with ease. It helps them decode words by using the knowledge of sounds. It is vital as it does not depend on the photographic memory of children and aids them in reading new and unfamiliar words, thus enriching & enhancing their vocabulary. Benets to Children • Start Enjoying Reading • Builds Sub-Conscious Mind • Improves Speaking Skills • Smarter and Self-Condent. When should a child be introduced to Phonics? The best time to introduce phonics to a child in between 4 to 6 years. However children above 6 years & up to 9 years who have not developed good English reading, speaking & spelling skills, phonics will denitely help. Why should you try learning to read early on? Research has shown kids who are able to communicate well in English in early days of their growing perform well in their academics & actually enjoy success in school. They are free of any stress at the subconscious level & apart from excelling in studies, also have very high self-esteem & self-condence. Voracious acquis i t ion of new knowledge through reading helps children build a strong academic foundation. Synthetic Phonics is a fun and child centered approach to teaching Literacy. With actions for each of the 42 letter sounds, the multisensory method is very motivating for children and teachers who can see their students achieve.

This module introduces the techniques and tools to teachers while handling reading classes.

Special Needs Children

Reading in ECE

“It is Easy to build strong children than to repair a broken adult “!

Discovery of a child when occurs early proved to have great value in healthy growth & development of every kid who enrols with us . Early intervention from adults avoid huge damage of the child’s Emotional as well as Intellectual growth due to acceptance from them. Early intervention also helps teacher address the issues individually and prepare a teacher to design a personalized learning programme for every learner. Half-Knowledge acquired through browsing the net about various learning disabilities is as dangerous as branding &isolat ing them. Hence ,this structured programme.

Our module Early Intervention module train the adults to identify the child’s Special needs ,and the various processes involved in driving through diagnostics and there by suggesting the remediation in many cases and therapy in few cases.

The out come of the programme will be highly gratifying to all the participants as they emerge as experts in discovering a child and extending the support through scaffolding technique which is unique of this module.

Reading is an Ability or a Skill? This module emphasises on the technique a teacher can use to develop the ability of reading at the age of 2 years and to convert the ability to skill w h i c h m a k e s a c h i l d c o m p r e h e n d text/content successfully and apply the knowledge in his/her real life situations. Introduction of reading requires various techniques and strategies as per the age and learning style, which also enhances the Teachers’ understanding of why reading to be introduced at ECE? and their obvious positive consequences in doing so !

Reading module focuses on whole language method and syllabication method, both of which are essential at ECE to make a child associate sounds of the letters and spelling of the word while reading a word as a whole. It trains the teachers to create a visual and verbal image among their young learners to be quick readers embedded with strong comprehending abi l i ty , iced with an appropr ia te p ronunc ia t ion sk i l l and punctuation skills.

The outcome of this module makes a teacher an expert in using various techniques in introducing reading at ECE.
