Ø Introduction
This product line comprises experimental panels, plug-in modules, plug-in components and compacttraining units.
Selection of plug-in components
Plug-in components are inserted into
universal mounting panels and
sometimes – for completing a circuit
– also into experimental panels.
Using the instruction modules listed in
the following selection tables,
experiments can be made in any
arrangement desired. If experiments
are to be carried out in line with our
instructions, we recommend using
our assembly kits.
Dimensions of the plug-in components:
For double pin connection
(without plugs)
(WxHxD) 37x35x18 mm
for three- and four pin connection
(without plugs)
(WxHxD) 35x35x35 mm

Ø Power Supply
For accommodating and supplying power to the instructionmodules listed in this catalog, we provide the resp. powersupplies as well as the resp. lab tables, etc..
These individual components are described in an other
catalog, information on request.
Universal-mounting panel
Universal-mounting panel in experimental use
Dimensions (WxH) 493 x 297 mm
Weight approx. 4 kg
The universal mounting panel is
equipped with gold-plated 4-mm-
sockets arranged in a 19 mm grid
(total of 320 sockets). Every four
adjacent sockets are interconnected
to form a ring. Provision is also made
for gold-plated 2-mm-sockets which
are used for the power supply of
operational amplifiers (8 plug-in
stations). When a module is inserted,
it is always connected to the supply
voltage with the correct polarity.
The two top and the two bottom rows
of sockets are through-connected for
power supply purposes.
From bottom to top:
- 15 V, ground/0 V, + 5 V, + 15 V.
The universal mounting panel has a
cover for predecting the connections
on the rear.
For installation on a bench, mounting
accessories permitting the panel to be
mounted at an angle of 30° is
provided on the rear.

Ø Fault Simulators
General
The program consists of
experimental panels for fault
simulation in electronics.
It permits typical faults to be input in
order to simulate them in different
basic circuits.

locating faults occurring in actual
practice enables trainees to
familiarize themselves with the
circuits. Each circuit contains up to 20
typical faults. The faults can be
operated by means of switches. The

Ø Assembly Kits
Power supply units are required for
carrying out experiments with the
above assembly kits. The necessary
plug-in modules and power supply
panels are listed as part of the
individual assembly kits under
"Additional equipment required (not
included in the assembly kit)". They
must be ordered separately if
required.
For assembly kits with plug-in
instruction modules W5101-8..., one
universal mounting panel per set is
required in addition.
This is also listed as part of the
assembly kit and must be ordered
separately if required.
If assembly kits with plug-in
instruction modules W5101-8... are
intended for use in connection with
universal experimenters (compact
training units), neither power supply
units nor universal mounting panels
need to be ordered because they are
integrated in the experimenter.
For assembly kits with experimental
panels W5430-8.., experimental
frames should be used or standard
instruction set-ups W2700-2B, which
already contain experimental frames
and the necessary plug-in power
supply units.
