El Expreso de La Robla is an opportunity to travel on a vintage train, but with all the amenities of a hotel. This unique experience offers all the nostalgia of many Great Train journeys, but with modern facilities.

El Expreso de La Robla

El Expreso de La Robla offers two distinctly different itineraries. The Jacobeo route is a 4 day/3 night round-trip departing from Gijon on Thursdays. Off-train excursions include a stop to experience cities such as Viveiro, a beautiful walled city, with exceptional views from Mount San Pelayo. After a delicious breakfast on day three, passengers will be escorted off the train and onboard a coach and just like so many pilgrims, will arrive at Santiago de Compostela to visit the old town and Cathedral.The La Robla route departs every Thursday from Bilbao and visits León – a city founded by Romans, full of culture and art. Visit San Isidoro, León Cathedral, the Old town and San Marcos. On the last day, passengers will visit the cities of Espinosa de Los Monteros and Medina de Pomar with their remarkable monuments such as the Alcàzar de los Condestables and its old Quarters. The train then arrives back into Bilbao where passengers bid farewell to the train and fellow passengers. Whichever journey you choose, you are certain to be mesmerized and pampered in style.

After three days in the city of White Nights, you can either take the Private Train via Minsk to Rzepin and then hop on a coach to Berlin. DepositsA non-refundable deposit is normally required within 5-7 days of advice of confirmation of availability in order to secure a booking. Final PaymentPayments must be made strictly in accordance with the requirements stipulated for each product at the time of booking. The final balance of your booking must be received in accordance with advised due dates. Please consult Rail Plus for applicable conditions for each product. Failure to provide full payment before required deadline may lead to cancellation of your booking and cancellation fees may apply. Please note documentation cannot be issued until your full payment has been received. For any deposits or final balances paid by credit card an additional charge of 1.95% for Bankcard, Visa, Mastercard and American Express and will be added to the invoice value of the booking. Rail Plus Australasia Pty Ltd and Rail Plus New Zealand reserves the right to vary this charge.

Late BookingsRail Plus will accommodate late bookings where possible. Bookings made 5 days or less before departure from Australia or New Zealand may incur a late booking charge of $25.00 and full payment will be required at time of booking. Additional charges to courier documentation will also be passed on.

AmendmentsOnce a booking is confirmed amendment fees apply. Changes are subject to availability. Many products consider a name change to be a cancellation not an amendment and therefore cancellation fees will apply.

Cancellations & RefundsRail Plus cannot refund any unused arrangements or portions of your itinerary. Refunds can only be applied for in writing and must be accompanied by original documentation. Rail Plus cannot guarantee any refund will be granted and is governed by the cancellation policies of each supplier. Please note cancellation fees can be high, up to and including 100% loss. Travel documents must remain in their official ticket cover to be eligible for travel or refund application. Additional local processing and amendment fees may apply to any change, cancellation or refund. Cancellation fees in Australia are subject to 10% GST.

Invoices and TicketsRail Plus will issue an invoice stating all products requested. It is the responsibility of the booking agent to ensure all details are correct and ensure clients are aware of all amendment and cancellation policies. Rail Plus reserves the right to correct any errors or omissions on the invoice notwithstanding that the invoice may have been paid in full. Detailed conditions for each specific product offered by Rail Plus are detailed in the accompanying documentation at time of issue.
