2Irving2Executive SummaryThe Tracking Solar Panel project will proficiently absorb/collect sunlight and produce a more efficient system of power generation in comparison to a fixed system. The current fixed system is either flat or at a fixed angle. The fixed photovoltaic panels are inefficient because they cannot track the motion of the sun which moves from east to west.

Save money for customers NiravOur project will present a solution by designing a motor controller system which will rotate and angle the photovoltaic panel towards the brightest light. We will compare four samples of lumens to determine the largest value of light for the panels to aim towards. This technology will efficiently increase the panels potential to capture more energy by moving the panel towards maximum light. This system will be more efficient and produce greater amount of energy to reduce utility cost for consumers.4Features & BenefitsHow It Tracks1st: Comparing 4 photocells to find the highest luminance to track the suns rays.2nd: The motors would rotate the panel in the direction of the photocell that shows more luminance.3rd: The motors would stop when all 4 photocells have reached the same amount of luminance.
