Today’s Activity Handout

We will be modeling how to use PHONECASTING and WORDPRESS in answering:

“If Lin were a part of a bicycle, what part would she be and why?”

WordPress.com

• Set up and activate a class account• Go to WordPress “My dashboard”• Select widgets under “Appearances”• Drag RSS widget into your blog

sidebar to activate the widget• Copy-Paste RSS feed link from

PhoneCasting to your widget• Your PhoneCasting recording (from

the cell phone) will be linked as an RSS feed

PhoneCasting.com

• Set up a class account• Create a channel for students to call in;

this will be where they record their interview

• Copy-Paste RSS feed link from PhoneCasting to your WordPress blog RSS Widget
