    An exhibit of select volumes from the Baltimore Hebrew Institute Joseph Meyerhoff

    Collection including: (1) A 1693 Yiddish edition of the Meshal ha-Kadmoni, or The

    Fable of the Ancient; (2) David de Castro Tartass Sermoes que pregara os DoctosIngenios do Kahal Kadosh de Talmud Torah, or Sermons which were delivered by the

    talented gentlemen of the holy congregation Talmud Torah in 1675; and (3) A pair of

    Haggadot, texts which set forth the order of the Passover Seder, printed in Amsterdam in

    1695 and 1712.

    The evening begins with a behind-the-scenes tour of the Walters Islamic art collection

    at 5pm. This will be followed at 6:30pm by a showing ofIslamic Art: Mirror of the

    Invisible World, a documentary that explores the stories behind great masterworks ofIslamic Art and Architecture, and concludes with a panel discussion including Towson

    faculty members Dr. Kimberly Katz, Dr. Robert Tappan, and Dr. Sanaullah Kirmani.

    Space for the behind-the-scenes tour is limited to 25 people and preference will be

    given to students. Transportation for students will be provided with details being
