I am very glad to prepare and submit my 2nd Internship report.
In this period of 2nd March, 2014 to 9th March, 2014, I learned to
Book/Reserve Hotel Rooms and Issue Service Vouchers. I have briefly
described these topics below:1. Reservation / Cancellation of
Hotel
During this period, I have learned to book the hotel rooms for
required number of pax on concerned hotel. First of all we have to
get conformation of the itinerary for guests arrival and departure
dates from the agent. Then after that we have to book hotel rooms.
We have to send reservation request to the hotel first through
telephone call and then through e-mail. Then we receive the
confirmation of the room from hotel. The confirmation mail should
be printed and attached to the right side of the right side of the
yellow file.
2. Issuing Service Vouchers
After booking of the hotel rooms, we have to issue service
voucher for the service providers. For that we have enter the data
on MIS system of the travels. All the required information
regarding the itinerary of the client should be entered and the
required voucher is generated and printed. We have to attach one
copy of the service voucher on the left side of the yellow file
another copy if it on the green file and another copy is sent to
the concerned service provider
I would like to thank Mr. Surendra Guruwacharya and Ms. Sabita
Budhathoki. They have taught me how to handle the tour file. Ms.
Sabita has been very positive and helped me in learning the office
works. Besides above things, I have also learned data entry,
insurance entry, etc. to some extend. I help her in daily office
work.I am very happy to be in the correspondence department. It
would be even better if I get chance to learn ticketing. I have a
very strong interest in ticketing and would appreciate if I get
chance to explore my knowledge in ticketing field.
