Top 5 beautiful educational sitesNobody can deny that knowledge is the main value nowadays. Unfortunately, it is not so easy to find helpful information in the World Wide Web. Sometimes we are surfing the Internet and don’t even notice the beauty of our favorite websites. I propose to look at our beloved sites from different perspective, so today I offer a list of not only useful, but also attractive educational resources.

1. Khan Academy – I started with it, because it was the winner of Webby Awards in 2012 year. This website provides a variety of educational videos without paying a cent. The motto of the resource is: “For free. For everyone. Forever”. The project started after Salman Khan made

some videos on YouTube to help his younger cousin with understanding math.

Have a look on Khan Academy. First of all, it has amazing design: soft colors and nice combination of blue hues make an atmosphere of peace. Secondly, you can easily find all necessary information. Click on “Start learning now” and you find yourself in perfectly organized world of online education. Each field of study (such as math, science, arts) is painted in different color and it’s not so complicated to recognize all the categories. Moreover, you have a possibility to choose your own avatar and background.

In conclusion I want to say that the designers made Khan Academy website user-friendly and comfortable. To my mind it gives an inspiration for studying and developing professional skills.

2. Edubirdie – trust me, it is better to see once than to hear thousands of times. Go to this website and you never be disappointed, because the mascot of this company speaks for itself. The talisman is a big, friendly, smiling bird with shining green eyes. Frankly speaking, we can understand that designers of the website were extremely creative.

What I like the most is a front page: eye-catching design with big beautiful icons. According to Color psychology, certain shades are actually better for studying. For example, blue stimulates productivity. Through associations with sky and sea it makes us think out of box and be creative. To my mind, the

developers of Edubirdie know everything about colors, because the website truly encourage you to be active.

However, the website is beautiful, it is also comfortable and useful. For instance, you can scroll down the front page and see information about writers and look at their photos. In addition, they have instructive infographic how to make an order. You will be surprised, but you need to make only 4 steps: place the order, hire writer, control process and attain goal.

At the bottom of the page intelligent bird wish everybody a good day and it makes people feel like home.

3. I would like to continue with Eduzaurus website, which seems to be pretty traditional, but the more you poke your nose around, the more you realize they have done a great job at incorporating some of the modern web design standards. It's a truly, super clean way to deal

with a site, which still keeps its roots in what makes a traditional site for essay ordering.

The designers use classical combination of colors: black and white, which make you be serious and responsible. They don’t put many things on the front page, but the most significant elements. As a result customers are kept concentrated. People can quickly find everything they want: how to make an order, how to choose the writer, information about the company and its team.

Modern web design technologies were also used, for instance with the help of innovating scrolling, creators made like journey through the site.

Without any exaggeration, style is in the details and designers of this website are experts in small

details. For example, original name of the resource - Eduzaurus, like dinosaur of education, I think this kind of word games is awesome.

Company is very young but it already has around 23 000 completed orders. No one can deny, that website design plays an important role in their success.

4. Mr Garbology is website about the study of garbage – how much there is and what can be done with it. It teaches both adults and children how to reduce our trash and stop polluting our planet.

The website is very colorful and funny (I would like to mention that this site was also Webbys awarded), but it tells people about serious problems, especially about waste disposal.

My favorite thing is a flash game on the home page. It asks you to choose what you would do with a variety of everyday trash – banana peels, an old t-shirt or a plastic bottle. The interactive is interspersed

with facts like how much water is needed to grow the cotton for one t-shirt (250 gallons) or how much trash the average American throws away each day (more than four pounds).

Designers’ team did great job: they devised smiling waste bins and created smart cockroach, who was talking about the study of garbology. The website is mostly painted green (as the color of the Earth) and it is also kind of relax for our eyes.

Except funny videos, visitors can find articles for students and teachers about environmental protection and environmental education. Also people have an opportunity to see wonderful photos from American’s national parks.

5. TEDed – lessons worth sharing. No doubt, from this website you can learn about everything, they have videos about math, philosophy, religion, arts, psychology, business and economy. TED did spellbound job creating a site that first create some exciting. The colors, the type, the graphics are all perfect. On this site you feel like in the museum or in the library, but in very

extraordinary and contemporary museum or library.

Webmasters explained everything, even lessons features. They also created “web-tour” for students who visited site for the first time. To my mind, TEDed is in trend, developers of the site exploit good way to structure content – tiles. Mutation effects, navigation widjets and animated storybook were also added to make website as more good looking and comfortable as possible. \

We had a brief look at five most beautiful online educational resources. To sum it up, I would like to give a recipe how to “cook” successful educational website. First of all, usefulness, I think this “ingredient” doesn’t need an explanation. Secondly, comfort, because it is extremely needed to find all the information quickly and don’t spend hours for just searching. The last, but not the least – esthetics. For sure, website should be likable and attractive as a truthful masterpiece. As we already have seen, well-designed sites can cheer us up and give positive emotions. In conclusion, I could advice only one thing – learning with pleasure is the best way to improve yourself.

Lisa Griffin – my passion is feeding kangaroos in Australia and I’m also fond of camping at Alps. Mostly I’m testing tons of writing services. In addition, I have pretty famous blog for http://payforessays.blogspot.com/which already got 2millions of visitors.
