BE INVOLVED
As the leading nonprofit for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y works side-by-side with our neighbors every day to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. To do our important work, the Y relies on support from members, donors,
volunteers and community leaders.
When you are involved with the Y, you help bring about lasting per-sonal and social change.
Join the Y: Be a part of a cause for strengthening community
that is committed every day to helping you and your kids learn, grow and thrive.
Give to the Y: Donate vital financial resources for nurturing
the potential of kids, improving the nation’s health and well-being, and giving back and supporting our neighbors. Contrib-ute to the Annual Support Campaign, donate to or purchase from the Annual Radio Day Auction.
Volunteer at the Y: Take an active role in bringing about
meaningful, enduring change right in your own neighborhood. Join a committee, share your connections and experience with the Y.
Advocate with the Y: Address the nation’s most pressing so-
cial issues, with a nonprofit that has the long-standing track record and on-the-ground presence to not just promise, but
deliver, lasting personal and social change.
Join our cause. And create meaningful change. Not just for
you, but also for your community.
TOGETHER WE CAN DO SO MUCH MORE
DID YOU KNOW?
Every gift makes a difference.
No one is turned away from Y member-
ship and programs due to the inability to
pay.
All donated dollars stay in Hardin County
Your Y has provided over $270, 000 in
scholarships in the last 8 years.
In 2015 over 260 children attended swim
lessons at a reduced rate of $5.00.
480 seniors were helped with their inde-
pendence in active older adult programs.
34 military service men and women have
used the Y at no cost this year.
Year-to-Date, we have given 50 children
over 3,500 in financial assistance towards
programs such as soccer, tae-kwon-do,
cheer, and tumbling.
Year-to-Date, we have helped over 71
families or individuals with membership
scholarships.
“We have four children involved in programs at the YMCA. Without
the scholarships they wouldn’t be
able to do these things. The scholarship is more of a blessing than you can imagine.” -Mother of Four
“I believe being involved in the activities offered by the YMCA, help build character, develop so-cial skills, teach good sportsman-ship, and encourage a healthy life-style. These are qualities I want
to encourage in my family. Be-cause of layoffs my family needs
assistance.” -Father of Three
