Associaon Missionary Thoughts Well let me just say, “Praise the Lord!” We are probably 99% finished rebuilding the Savannah Baptist Assembly. It has taken almost 2 years to rebuild after hurricane Matthew hit the Assembly in September 2016 and then the tornado which struck in February of 2017. Over all we had 85 trees that were knocked down and had to be re- moved. The Pole Barn was destroyed, 2 cabins destroyed, the bath houses destroyed, and also the other two cabins and the # 5 cabin were damaged. It has taken a lot of work to re- build. I personally want to thank each and everyone who helped, prayed and gave to the rebuilding of the Assembly. The phrase, “To God be the Glory” just flows through my heart. God is so very good and we give him all the Praise. Just a reminder, that on May 16 th at 11:00 a.m. we will have our Association Senior Adult Picnic at the J. F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill. Bro. Chuck Bradley a former missionary to Mexico and now serving with the Fellowship of Christian Ath- letes in our area will be our guest speaker. Please try to at- tend. Janet Bell, our Association Ministry Assistant will be glad to take your reservation and get you your tickets. Just give her a call at the Association office at (912) 232-1033. Also, we all will be celebrating Mother’s Day on May 12 th . Mother’s Day is very special to me. My mother lives with us now and I cherish every moment with her. Mom is truly a very special Christian woman. She has the biggest giving heart of anyone I know. I do not believe I could have asked God to give me a better Mom than He gave me. I am truly blessed to have her in my life. Thank you for allowing Connie, Janet and myself to serve you. It is a great joy for us to minister to each of you. April was full of showers of blessings. 1. The month began with interviews for new leaders. The team was chosen, and they have assumed the helm of leadership. The month ended with a leadership re- treat to train them for the new year. 2. We were on campus again with the Great Exchange where we surveyed 53 people and one prayed to receive Christ. The Gospel was shared multiple times, and many were on the verge of conversion. Pray God uses the seeds of the Gospel in their hearts and that they will choose to fol- low Him. 3. The guys hosted a Ladies night where they served and entertained all the BCM ladies. It was a definite highlight of the semester. 4. Seven students were commissioned as SMN summer missionaries at Launch Retreat. 5. We brought an official end to our programs with an End of the Year Party. Students donned their PJ’s and came and ate lots of pancakes at the PJ’s and Pancakes Party. 6. We have surpassed our summer mission goal by $1000. We are close to making $8000 in support of BCM Summer Missions. We were showered with blessings. Yet, the biggest blessing of the month was celebrating Resurrection Sunday. All of us have hope because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. But more importantly he defeated death and resurrected from the tomb. He is ALIVE! That is the biggest blessing ever. Rev.
