1. INTRODUCTION

Thank you for choosing VMB Towerlifts.You have acquired a first class, quality productused by professionals around the world.

To be able to work with this tower, lifting andflying PA and Line Array, please pay specialattention to this manual. Please observe thetechnical data and follow all instructions fullyfor a correct and safe use.This manual shouldalso be made available and remain with thetowerlift.

All VMB towerlifts undergo a strict quality con-trol to guarantee the maximum safety anddurability.

The TL-A450 has been especially designed andengineered to hang Line Array to a maximumheight of 6m and a load of 450kg. This lift iscapable of situating the PA 50cm from the bodyof the lift. The benefit of placing the load at adistance enables the user to achieve the perfectcurve and coverage for the Line array flown.

The TL-A450, incorporates the ALS system(Auto-Lock-Security) and ILS system (Inertia-Lock-Security), both exclusive to VMB and whichguarantee the load will not fall and provide com-plete security.

ATTENTION: Do not use this towerlift if youhave not read and understood the instructions.

2. TECHNICAL IINFORMATION

2.1 – Towerlift mod. TL-A450

2.2 – Especially designed for lifting and flyingLine array directly from the floor to a height of6m (19.7’). Able to hang at 50cm (1.6’) from themain body of the lift.

2.3 – Maximum load : 450Kg (992lb) . at 50cm(1.6’) from lift body..

2.4 – Minimum Load : Can lift or lower withoutload.

2.5 – Maximum Height : 6m (19.7’).

2.6 – Folded Height : 1.98m (6.5’).

2.7 – Base Surface : 2.2 x 2.1m (7 x 7’).

2.8 – Transport Weight : 196Kg (432lb).

2.9 – Construction Material : 6082-T6aluminium for the main body comprised of 4profiles and lifting carriage. DIN 2394 steel forthe base and outriggers. ST-37 steel for theALS security system and pulleys.

2.10 – Security Systems: ALS (Auto-Lock-Security), ILS (Inertia-Lock-Security) whichguarantee complete security at all times.

During the life of this towerlift, it may need spareparts for maintenance. In this case pleasecontact your distributor.

Only original spare parts must be used. The userloses all rights to warranty if any spare parts otherthan originals are used or carries out anymodification or alteration to the towerlift.

3. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.

3.1 – The TL-A450 is designed for lifing LineArray and should never be used for elevatingpersons.

3.2 – Only situate the lift on hard, flat surfaceschecking that it is in a vertical position withthe spirit level (F) included. If necessary,adjust with support stabilisers (Q) by turningthe handle (H). Do not use any othermaterials to balance the lift.

3.3 – Check all outriggers are insertedcorrectly and locked with security locks.

3.5 – Never exceed the maximum weightindicated on the towerlift and in this ma-nual.

3.4 – Never elevate the Line Array beforechecking it is correctly attached to the lift.

3.6 – If there is excessive wind, place thelift on firm ground and attach slings to addstability. Never attach a sling to a vehicleor any other element than can move.

3.8 – Be carfeful of any high, obstructionssuch as balconies, signs etc. It is importantto avoid the presence of cables beneaththe working position of the lift.

3.7 – Do not use a ladder on the lift.



3.11 – Never use the lift on a mobile surfaceor on any vehicle.

3.10 – Never try to move the lift once theload is raised.

3.9 – Never stand below the raised mate-rial and do not allow others to standbeneath or around the working area of thelift.

3.12 – Before using the lift check thecondition of the cable. The cable shouldnot be broken or torn. NEVER use defectcables and if in doubt change the cable.Only use DIN 3060 steel cable 180 Kg/mm2quality torsion resistant cable.

3.13 – Never remove the handle from thewinch if the lift is elevated with load.


3.16 – All profiles must be lowered beforethe lift is transported.

3.15 – Do not grease or lubricate the breakmechanism in the winch. The break discshave been especially greased with aspecial anti heat, pressure material.Other products must not be used so as toavoid the break not working effectively.

3.14 – The minimum load for the brakefunctioning in the winch is 25kg. Withoutthis weight the brake will not function.

3.17 – Only original spares must be used.

4. INSTRUCTIONS.

4.1– Situate the lift on its transport wheels (T)upon a flat and stable surface.When erecting the lift in open air, the risk ofwind is prevalent.Where wind speeds exceed 30 Km/h it isessential to tie the lift. 2 lateral fixing points (X)are situated at the top of profile 2, wheretensors should be attached and fixed on secureand firm ground (NEVER ON A VEHICULE ORANYTHING THAT CAN MOVE).

4.2 – Remove the outriggers from theirtransport compartments (S) and place them inthe working position (V) ensuring they are fixedwith the security locks (R). The long outriggersare placed and the front beneath the load. Theshort outriggers are placed at the back.

4.3 – Remove the front support bars (BA) fromtheir transport compartment (S) and place themin their corresponding fixed position (D) on eachfront outrigger and at the top of the first profile(E) ensuring they are fixed with the pinsprovided BU/P1.To correctly fix the front support bars (BA),adjust the support of the front outrigger byturning the stabiliser handel in the necessarydirection.Insert clips (BU) and security pins (P1).

Adjust the vertical position of the lift with thestabilisers (Q) turning the handels so that thespirit level is centred (F).

4.4 – Let go of transport security B, removethe forks and place them horizontally.Place the lifting carriage at the required heightso that the Line Array buffer can be attached.

The careful positioning of the front outriggersenables the Line Array to fit between them andease assembley on to the forks.

Support FAS-01 is to be fixed to the forks byeither 1 or 2 points. See fig. 1.

If the Line Array Buffer has 4 link points usethe FAS-02 support which enables the LineArray to be flown from 4 points, see fig. 2.

Both supports FAS-01 and FAS-02 are insertedon the forks as follows:

The Line Array cabinets will be attached to theirbuffer with the angles calculated according tothe acoustic coverage required.

This ensures the Line Array cabinets can becurved in function with the necessary degreesrequired between them.

The system should be attached at thenecessary distance to achieve the requiredcurve. The last cabinet should not hit the bodyof the lift. See fig. 3.

To ensure the maximum security margin it isnecessarry to always attach the Line Array atthe minimum distance possible from the bodyof the lift. This will mean that the bottom cabinetis as close as possible to the body of the lift.See fig. 3A.To avoid overloading do not seperateuneccessarily the Line Array from the body ofthe lift. See fig. 3B.

4.5 – The maximum load of the TL-A450 is 450Kg with the load point at 50 cm from the lift’sbody.

The loading point capacity can be found on thevertical line which marks the centre of gravityof the Line Array wich is to be flow.

The situation of the centre of gravity dependsupon the chosen Line Array and is necessaryto calculate before use. Never the less, it isusually situated at the centre of the Line Array.

Never overload the lift above the stated maximumweight of 450 Kg.


4.6 – The TL-A450, can also be used as aconventional towerlift.

If you are using it as a conventional towerliftalways place the load as close to the body aspossible. In all frontal load towerlifts themaximum load is reduced the further away fromthe body the load is placed.

4.7 – Elevating the lift:Once the Line Array is attached to its buffer andin the desired position on the forks it is ready tobe lifted to the required height. Turn the winchhandle in a clockwise direction to elevate thelift.

First, the lifting carriage with the attached LineArray will raise. When it has reached the topthen the first profile will start to rise. When thishas reached the top the second profile will raisefollowed by the third.

The ILS and ALS enable the lift to rise andautomatically block the carriage and profileswhilst rises ensuring that it will never fall. Thelift, with the Line array attached will remain fixedat all times.

Once the system is elevated to its required heightgently turn the handle in a clockwise direction.The security systems will ensure that the loadstays fixed and blocked. The red ALS locks willbe blocked. This enables the cable to be withoutany force and means it is only used for theelevation and descent of the lift. The followinginstructions will help you to bring the systemdown.

4.8 – Descending the lift:To bring the lift down you need to first turn thewinch handle slightly clockwise and at the sametime push the red ALS lock in (G). (Fig. 7)This releases the blocking systems. Then turnthe handle anti clockwise, whilst maintainingthe ALS lock pushed in until the profile has beencompletely lowered.

All red ALS locks should be held in one by onewhilst the handle is turned anti clockwise andthe profiles are brought down, one by one. Ifyou release your finger from the ALS lock itwill automatically block. In this case, repeat thefirst operation by turning slightly clockwise andthen anti clockwise whilst always pushing thered ALS lock in.It is necessary to completely lower each profilebefore starting to lower the next. If you pushanother red ALS lock without having completelylowered the previous profile the first profile willremain blocked by the security system and youwill not be able to lower it later.If this happens, elevate the towerlift to thelocked position and free the lock so that youcan commence the descent again until it iscompletely lowered.Finally, release the carriage lock following thesame principle as before and lower it to therequired level to be able to dismount the LineArray from the lift.


4.9 – TransportOnce all the profiles are completely loweredremove the FAS-01 or FAS-02 support and theforks placing them in their horizontal positionfacing down. Lower the carriage so that rightfork can be fixed and blocked for transport (B).Remove the front support bars ( BA ) by takingout the pins (BU). Replace the pins in the topsupport ( E ) of the lift’s base profile and alsoat the top of each front support bar.

5. MAINTENANCE.

5.1 – Periodically check the condition of thecable. If a cable is torn or broken it should bereplaced immediately. Do not use the lift if thecable is not perfect. Only use torsion resistantsteel cable DIN 3060.

5.2 – The lift is supplied completely greasedfrom the factory. Never the less, werecommend you periodically grease (dependingon amount used) the teeth of the winch (CD),end point of the handle (RM), bar (EB) (Fig. 8)and the profile nylon drums.

ATTENTION: Do not grease or lubricate thebreak mechanism.

The brake discs have been greased with aspecial heat and pressure resistant grease. Donot use other products.


7. CERTIFICATIONS

6. GUARANTEE.

The warranty period for this lift is 3 years fromthe date of purchase.PRO LIFTS S.L. promises, that from the date ofpurchase and during the warranty period toresolve any faults that may occur producedthrough defect material or fabrication.Damage caused by inproper use, productmodification, terciary manipulation or acciden-tal fire are not covered by this warranty.

5.3 – All lifts should undergo an annual technicalinspection carried out by an authorized VMBdealer to check the certifications and generalcondition of all the lift’s elements and securitysystems involved in the lift’s use.

5.4 – Only use original spare parts to guaranteea continued security level.The user loses all rights to warranty if any spareparts other than originals are used or carriesout any modification or alteration to the towerlift.

5.5 – To request a spare part please indicatethe corresponding code which can be found inthis manual.

1. INTRODUCCION

Estimado usuario:

Agradecemos su confianza al adquirir lastorres elevadoras VMB.

Tiene en sus manos un producto de calidady fiabil idad contrastadas por la dilatadaexperiencia de los usuarios profesionalesen todo el mundo.

Para poder trabajar con este elevadorvolando todo tipo de equipos de sonido sinpeligro y de forma segura, lea atentamente estemanual, observe los datos técnicos y sigaíntegramente todas las instrucciones deutilización y seguridad.

Este manual de instrucciones, deberá estar dis-ponible permanentemente junto al elevador.

Todos los elevadores VMB son sometidos aun constante control de calidad y durísimaspruebas de verificación, para garantizar lamáxima fiabilidad y resistencia.

El elevador TL-A450, ha sido proyectadoespecialmente para levantar hasta 6 metrosde altura, equipos de sonido tipo line array conun peso de 450 Kg desplazados 50 cm. enavance respecto al cuerpo de la torre.

Este desplazamiento, es necesario para po-der angular los recintos acústicos los gra-dos precisos para lograr una perfecta co-bertura de sonorización.

2. DATOS TECNICOS

2.1 - Torre elevadora modelo TL-A450.

2.2 - Diseñada especialmente para levantarequipos de sonido tipo line array desde elmismo suelo en sentido vertical a cualquieraltura hasta 6 m., con un avance respecto alcuerpo de la torre de 50 cm.

2.3 - Carga máxima elevable: 450 Kg. despla-zada 50 cm del cuerpo del elevador.

2.4 - Carga mínima elevable: Puede subir obajar sin carga alguna.

2.5 - Altura máxima: 6 m.

2.6 - Altura plegada: 1,98 m. Altura mínima decarga : 0,05 m.

2.7 - Superficie de la base : 2,2 x 2,1 m.

El elevador, TL-A450, incorpora los sistemasde seguridad ILS (Inertia-Lock-Securyty) y ALS(Automatic-Lock-Security), exclusivos de VMB,que garantizan la imposibilidad de caida dela carga y una total seguridad de utilización.

ATENCION:No utilice este elevador sin haber leído yseguir estas instrucciones. En caso contrario,podría llegar a provocar un grave accidente.

Durante la vida útil del elevador, puedenecesitar piezas de repuesto. Diríjase en estecaso a su distribuidor habitual.Solamente deben utilizarse piezas de repuestooriginales. El usuario perderá todos susderechos de garantía si incorpora cualquierrepuesto que no sea original o real izacualquier modificación en el elevador.

Para cualquier consulta sobre el elevador,deberá indicar el número de serie y año deconstrucción.


2.8 - Peso de transporte : 196 Kg.

2.9 - Material de construcción: Cuerpo principalde cuatro tramos más carro elevador, en perfilde aluminio extrusionado 6082-T6. Base,patas y soportes varios, en perfileria de acerosegún DIN 2394. Gatillos de seguridad ypoleas acanaladas en acero ST-37.

2.10 - Sistemas de fijación, seguridad ALS(Automatic-Lock-Security), ILS (Inertia-Lock-Securyty) que fijan e imposibilitan la caida dela carga en todo momento.

2.11 - Cabrestante de acción manual de1.200Kg de capacidad de carga máxima confreno de discos automático.


2.12 - Cable : Acero según DIN 3060. Calidad180 Kg/mm2 antitorsión. Diámetro 6 mm.

2.13 - Platillos estabilizadores ajustables en laspatas, con apoyos antideslizantes de cauchoinyectado.

2.14 - Fijación de las patas con gatillos deseguridad.

2.15 - Nivel de burbuja para ajustar la posiciónvertical de la torre.

2.16 - Todos los elementos del elevador es-tán acabados en poliéster negro satinado.

2.17 - Ruedas direccionables para facilitar eltransporte de la torre en posición vertical yplegada hasta su emplazamiento de trabajo.

3. NORMAS DE SEGURIDAD.

3.1 - El elevador TL-A450 es una máquinadiseñada para la elevación de cargas ensentido vertical, NUNCA se debe utilizarcomo plataforma elevadora de personas.

3.2 - Colocar el elevador sólo en superficiesduras y planas, verificando que está enposición vertical, mediante el nivel deburbuja (F) situado en el tramo base.Ajustar si fuera necesario con los platillosde apoyo (Q), girando la manivela (H) enel sentido adecuado. Nunca utilice cuñasni elementos extraños para equilibrar elelevador.

3.5 - No se debe sobrepasar la capacidadde carga máxima indicada en la etiquetade características del elevador y en estemanual de instrucciones.

3.4 - Nunca se debe elevar una cargasin antes verificar que está correctamenteapoyada y centrada en los soporteselevadores adecuados, de forma que elpeso de la carga sólo actúe en sentidovertical.

3.3 - Comprobar que las patas estáncorrectamente montadas y sujetas por suspasadores retenedores de seguridad.

3.6 - Si existe posibilidad de viento fuerte oen ráfagas, coloque el elevador en suelofirme y asegúrelo con la ayuda de tirantes.Nunca fije un tirante sobre un vehículoo cualquier otro elemento que puedadesplazarse.

3.7 - No use escaleras encima del elevadorni las apoye en él para realizar ningún tipode trabajo.



3.11 - No utilice nunca el elevador sobreuna superficie móvil o vehículo.

3.10 - No desplace nunca el elevador si seencuentra con la carga elevada. No esaconsejable realizar ningún tipo demovimiento, ni tan siquiera pequeñosajustes de posicionamiento.

3.9 - Nunca se ponga debajo de la carga nipermita la presencia de otras personas enla zona de trabajo del elevador.

3.8 - Tenga cuidado con todo tipo desalientes por encima del elevador comocornisas, balcones, letreros luminosos,etc...Es muy importante evitar la presencia decables por debajo de la altura de trabajo delelevador.

3.12 - Antes de utilizar el elevador, verifiqueel estado del cable. El cable no debepresentar rotura de hilos o aplastamiento.NUNCA use cables defectuosos y en casode duda cambie el cable. Sólo utilice cablede acero según DIN 3060. Calidad 180 Kg/mm2 resistente a la torsión.


3.16 - Para el transporte del elevador hayque bajar todos los tramos.

3.15 - No engrase ni lubrique el mecanismode freno del cabrestante. Los discos defreno, han sido engrasados con una grasaespecial resistente al calor y la presión.No deben ser utilizados otros productospara evitar influir negativamente en elfuncionamiento del freno.

3.14 - La carga mínima para el funciona-miento del freno del cabrestante sin proble-mas, es de 25Kg. Sin esta carga mínima elfreno podría no actuar.

3.13 - Nunca desmonte la manivela delcabrestante si el elevador está con carga yelevado.

3.17 - Solamente deben utilizarse piezasde repuesto originales.

4. INSTRUCCIONES DE USO.

4.1 - Coloque la torre elevadora apoyada ensus ruedas de transporte (T) en su emplaza-miento de trabajo sobre una superficie plana yfirme.

En el caso de montar el elevador al aire libre,existe el riesgo que durante su utilización segenere viento.A partir de una velocidad del viento de 30 Km/hes imprescindible arriostrar el elevador, paralo cual se han previsto dos argollas lateralesde fijación (X) situadas en la parte superior delsegundo tramo, donde deberán fijarse lostensores que serán anclados a lugares firmesy seguros (nunca sobre un vehículo o cualquierotro elemento que pueda desplazarse).

4.2 - Saque las patas de su soporte paratransporte (S) e insértelas a fondo en susalojamientos de trabajo (V) comprobando quequedan sujetas por los gatillos retenedores(R). Las patas largas delante, bajo la carga ylas cortas detrás .

4.3 - Saque los brazos de apoyo frontales (BA)del soporte de transporte (S) y colóquelos ensus puntos de anclaje (D) sobre cada patadelantera y (E) en los laterales de la partesuperior del tramo base, fijándolos con lospasadores de seguridad (BU/P1).Para poder colocar correctamente los brazosde apoyo frontales (BA), deberá ajustar el apo-yo de las patas delanteras, girando adecua-damente las manivelas de los apoyosregulables de las patas.Colocar los bulones (BU) y los pasadores deseguridad (P1).

La especial disposición de las patas delante-ras, permite situar el equipo de sonido en elsuelo justo bajo los brazos de carga.

Sobre los brazos de carga, se colocaránlos soportes FAS-01, en el caso de volar unequipo con fijación central por uno o dospuntos de vuelo, fig. 1.

En el caso de que el soporte de volado delequipo de sonido tenga cuatro anclajesperimetrales, se utilizarán los soportes FAS-02 que permiten suspender los soportes devolado desde cuatro puntos, ver fig. 2.Tanto los soportes FAS-01 como los FAS-02se colocarán sobre los brazos de carga en laposición y forma que se indica seguidamente:

Los recintos acústicos del equipo de sonido,se montarán sobre su soporte de volado conlas angulaciones calculadas para la coberturaacústica requerida.Esto condiciona que los recintos de line arrayse curvarán hacia detrás en función de losgrados necesarios entre ellos.El equipo deberá colocarse en consecuenciasobre los brazos de carga del elevador con elavance necesario para conseguir que estacurvatura pueda realizarse, sin que la partetrasera inferior del último recinto tropiece conel cuerpo del elevador. Ver fig. 3.

Para conseguir el máximo margen de seguri-dad, es necesario colocar siempre el equipode sonido sobre los brazos de carga delelevador con el avance mínimo posible, deforma que la parte trasera inferior del últimorecinto del equipo line array se encuentre lomás cerca posible del cuerpo de la torre. Verfig. 3A.

No separar innecesariamente el equipo desonido del cuerpo de la torre para evitar unasobrecarga. Ver fig. 3B.


4.4 - Soltar el seguro de transporte B , sacarlos brazos de carga y volver a colocarlos enposición horizontal.Colocar el carro elevador a la altura necesariapara poder fijar el soporte de volado del equipode line array.

4.5 - La carga máxima del elevador TL-A450es de 450 Kg con el punto de aplicación des-plazado a 50 cm. del cuerpo del elevador.

El punto de aplicación de la carga se encuentraen la línea vertical que pasa por el centro degravedad del conjunto del equipo de audio avolar. La situación del centro de gravedad depen-derá del equipo que se necesite volar y es nece-sario determinarlo en cada caso. No obstante,es habitual que esté situado sobre el centro delconjunto del equipo.

Nunca debe sobrecargarse el elevador por en-cima de su carga máxima de trabajo de 450 Kg.

La seguridad de trabajo es lo más importante.


4.6 - El elevador TL-A450, puede ser utilizadoigualmente como una torre elevadora tradicio-nal.

Si se utiliza este elevador como torre de ele-vación, coloque SIEMPRE la carga a elevarlo más cerca posible del cuerpo de la torre. Entodas las torres elevadoras de carga frontal,la capacidad máxima de carga disminuyecon la distancia de aplicación respecto alcuerpo de la torre

El elevador con el equipo de sonido volado,quedará fijado a cualquier altura en el momentoque dejemos de girar la manivela del cabres-tante, haciendo imposible su caída o descenso.

Una vez elevado el equipo de sonido hasta laaltura de volado requerida, girar la maniveladel cabrestante ligeramente en el sentido debajar. Los sistemas de fijación y seguridadactuarán y todo el elevador quedará bloqueadoy asegurado. Los gatillos rojos, quedaránigualmente bloqueados y no podrán serpulsados. El cable de acero quedará sinefecto. Solamente se utiliza durante lasoperaciones de subir o bajar.

Para poder bajar el elevador, será necesarioseguir las instrucciones que se detallan acontinuación.


4.7 - Operación de subida:

Una vez el equipo de sonido quede montado ysuspendido perfectamente posicionado sobrelos brazos de carga del elevador, solo esnecesario girar la manivela del cabrestante enel sentido de las agujas de un reloj para que elelevador comience a subir el equipo hasta sucorrecto emplazamiento.

Primero subirá el carro portabrazos, junto conel equipo de sonido, cuando el carro hayasubido completamente hasta la parte superior,comenzará a subir el tramo primero, cuandoeste haya subido completamente, comenzaráa subir el tramo 2 y así hasta la elevación totalmáxima de 6 metros.

Los sistemas de seguridad ILS y ALS delcarro portabrazos y de todos los tramos delelevador, permiten su subida, pero bloqueanautomáticamente el carro y los tramos delelevador en todo momento impidiendo suretroceso.

4.8 - Operación de bajar:

Para poder bajar el elevador con el equipo desonido volado, girar ligeramente presionandola manivela del cabrestante en el sentido desubir y pulsar simultáneamente el gatillo rojo(G) del tramo base o del último tramo que estébajado completamente. (Fig. 7)

4.9 - Transporte:

Pliegue la torre bajando completamente todoslos tramos. Una vez plegada, retire los soportesFAS-01 o FAS-02 , saque los brazos de cargay colóquelos de nuevo en posición verticalhacia abajo. Baje el carro de forma que elbrazo de carga derecho pueda fijarse con elpasador de bloqueo para transporte (B).Desmonte los brazos de apoyo frontales (BA)quitando los pasadores de seguridad y losbulones (BU) de fijación.Coloque de nuevo los bulones con suspasadores de seguridad en los soportessuperiores ( E ) del tramo base de la torre yen el extremo superior de cada brazo deapoyo frontal.Coloque los brazos de apoyo en susalojamientos para transporteDesmonte las patas liberando los gatillos deretención y colóquelas en su posición detransporte (S). Apriete los pomos de fijación (J)

El elevador puede ser transportado enposición vertical sobre sus ruedas detransporte o en sentido horizontal, colocandoel kit de transporte RH-4.

Esta maniobra permitirá que el gatillo rojo deseguridad pueda de nuevo pulsarse, liberandoel tramo de la torre, de forma que girando ahorala manivela del cabrestante en el sentido debajar, el elevador bajará normalmente.Todos los gatillos rojos podrán ser pulsadosconforme los tramos del elevador bajen.

Si una vez bajado completamente cualquierade los tramos, seguimos girando la maniveladel cabrestante en el sentido de bajar, sinpulsar el gatillo rojo correspondiente paraliberar el tramo siguiente, el elevador sebloqueará y bloqueará igualmente de nuevolos gatillos rojos, impidiendo que puedanpulsarse.

En este caso, repetir la operación descritainicialmente de subir la torre ligeramente paral iberar el gati l lo bloqueado y continuarbajando de la forma ya descrita.

Es necesario bajar completamente cadatramo del elevador antes de iniciar la bajadadel tramo siguiente. Si se pulsara otro gatillopara iniciara la bajada del tramo siguiente, sinhaber bajado completamente el tramo anterior,el tramo primero quedaría bloqueado por elsistema de seguridad y no podría bajarsecompletamente luego.

Si esto ocurre, se deberá subir de nuevo elúltimo tramo, liberar el gatillo que permitebajar el tramo que había quedado bloqueadoy bajarlo completamente, siguiendo, a conti-nuación, el procedimiento de bajar hastatener bajados completamente todos lostramos del elevador.

Liberar por úl timo, el gatil lo del carroportabrazos y bajar el carro, dejándolo a laaltura necesaria para poder desmontar losrecintos acústicos.

5. MANTENIMIENTO.

5.1 - Compruebe periódicamente el estado delcable. Si un cable presenta rotura de hilos oaplastamiento, debe ser sustituido inmediata-mente por otro nuevo. No utilice el elevadorcon cables en mal estado. Utilice solamentecable de acero DIN 3060 resistente a la tor-sión.


5.2 - La torre elevadora se suministracompletamente engrasada de fábrica. Noobstante, se recomienda engrasar periódica-mente (según el uso) la corona dentada delcabrestante (CD), los cojinetes del árbol deaccionamiento y el buje (EB), la rosca de lamanivela (RM) (Fig. 8) y los rodillos de nylónde los tramos.

6. GARANTIA.

El periodo de garantía de esta torre elevadoraes de tres años, a partir de la fecha de compra.

5.4 - Solamente deben utilizarse piezas derepuesto originales para garantizar unacontinuada seguridad de uso.El usuario pierde todos los derechos degarantía si incorpora otros repuestos que nosean originales o l leva a cabo cualquiermodificación en el aparato.

1. EINFÜHRUNG

Danke, dass Sie sich für einen VMB Towerliftentschieden haben. Sie haben ein qualitativerstklassiges Produkt erworben, welches vonProfis auf der ganzen Welt genutzt wird.

Um mit diesem Towerlift PA und Line ArraysHeben und Fliegen zu können beachten Siebitte die folgende Bedienungsanleitung.Beachten Sie die technischen Daten undbefolgen Sie alle Instruktionen für denrichtigen und sicheren Gebrauch.Diese Gebrauchsanweisung sollte jederzeitzugänglich sein und bei dem Towerliftaufbewahrt werden.

Alle VMB Towerlifte unterliegen einer striktenQualitätskontrolle um maximale Sicherheit undLeistungsfähigkeit zu gewährleisen.Der TL-A450 wurde speziell konzipiert undtechnisiert, um Line Arrays mit einem Gewichtvon 450kg bis zu einer maximalen Höhe von6m zu hängen. Der Lift ist dazu geeignet, einePA 50cm vorgelagert anzubringen.Der Nutzer zieht beim Vorlagern der Last denVorteil, dass er Winkel und Reichweite einesLine Arrays optimal ausrichten kann.

Der TL-A450 ist mit dem ALS System (Auto-Lock-Security) und ILS System (Inertia-Lock-Security), alle von VMB patentiert. Sieschützen die Last vor dem Fall undgarantieren lückenlose Sicherheit.

Der Towerlift kann während seiner LebenszeitErsatzteile für die Wartung benötigen.Kontaktieren Sie in diesem Fall bitte IhrenLieferanten.Es dürfen nur original Ersatzteile verwendetwerden. 3. SICHERHEITSVORKEHRUNGEN

3.1 - Der TL-A450 ist speziell für Line Arrayentwickelt worden und sollte niemals zumHeben von Personen genutzt werden.

3.2 - Den Lift nur auf harten und ebenenFlächen aufstellen und anhand derWasserwaage (F) vertikal ausrichten. BeiBedarf mittels des Stelltellers (Q) durchDrehen der Spindelkurbel (H) inentsprechender Richtung die Turmlageeinstellen.

2.10 - Sicherheits-Systeme: ALS (Auto-Lock-Security), ILS (Inertia-Lock-Security), welchelückenlose Sicherhei t zu jeder Zei tgarantieren.

2.11 - 1200kg handbetriebene Seilwinde mitautomatischer Lasthaltebremse.

2.12 - Seil: DIN 3060 Stahl. 180kg/mm²verwindungssteife Qual ität. 6mmDurchmesser.

2.13 - Verstellbare Stabilisatoren an denAuslegern mit anti-rutsch beschichteterGummisohle.

2.14 - Ausleger werden mit Sicherheits-Klinkenfixiert.



3.3 - Achten Sie bitte darauf, dass dieAusleger vollkommen eingeschoben undmittels der Sicherheitsbolzen befestigt sind.

3.4 - Niemals das Line Array anheben, bevornicht sichergestellt ist, dass es korrekt amLift befestigt ist.

3.5 - Niemals, das am Towerlift und in dieserAnleitung vorgegebene Maximal-Gewichtüberschreiten.

3.6 - Bei stärkerem Wind den Turm auffestes Boden stellen und mittels Seilankergegen die Windbelastung schützen. Niemalsdie Seilanker an einem Fahrzeug oder einemanderen beweglichen Gegenstandbefestigen.

3.7 - Niemals eine Leiter auf, bzw. an demLift verwenden.

3.8 - Vorsicht bei jeder Höhe: Hindernisse,wie Balkone, Schilder etc. Es ist wichtig dieVerwendung von Kabeln nahe derArbeitsfläche zu vermeiden.

3.9 - Niemals unter dem ausfahrenden Liftsowie neben oder in der Nähe derArbeitsfläche aufhalten.

3.10 - Den Lift nicht bewegen, wenn dieserunter Last und ausgefahren ist.

3.11 - Niemals den Lift auf einembeweglichen Untergrund oder Fahrzeugnutzen.

3.12 - Vor der Verwendung des Lifts denSeilzustand kontrollieren. Das Seil darf keineDrahtbrüche bzw. Quetschstellen aufweisen.Unter keinen Umständen Seile in schlechtemZustand verwenden. Im Zweifelsfall Seiltauschen. Ausschließlich DIN 3060 Stahlseilemit 180kg/mm² verwindungs-steifer Qualitätverwenden.


3.13 - Niemals die Windekurbel (W) beiunter Last stehendem und ausgefahrenemLift abbauen.

3.14 - Die Mindestlast für eine reibungsloseFunktion der Bremse beträgt 25kg. Ohnediese Mindestlast spricht die Bremse nichtan.

3.15 - Den Lastdruckbremsen-Mechanismusweder schmieren noch ölen. DieScheibenbremse ist mit einem speziellenAnti-Druckhitze Material geschmiert. AndereProdukte dürfen nicht verwendet werden,um eine Missfunktion der Bremse zuverhindern.

3.16 - Für den Transport sind alle Profilevollständig einzufahren und einzuklappen.

3.17 - Es dürfen nur original VMB Ersatzteileverwendet werden.

Die Position der vorderen Ausleger, macht esmöglich das Line Array mittig unter denFlugrahmen zu setzen. Dieses erleichtert dieMontage an den Gabeln.

Die Aufnahme FAS-01 wird an den Gabeln anentweder 1 oder 2 Punkten befestigt. Siehe Bild1.

Hat der Flugrahmen 4 Verbindungspunkte, wirddie Aufnahme FAS-02 verwendet, um das LineArray aufzuhängen. Siehe Bild 2.

FAS-01 und FAS-02 werden wie folgt an denGabeln befestigt:

Die Line Array Module werden mit demFlugrahmen verbunden, während die Winkelsind berei ts anhand der akustischenGegebenheiten errechnet worden sind.

Dieses stellt sicher, dass die Line Array Modulewährend des Liftens im richtigen Winkelzueinander eingestellt werden können.

Das System sollte im richtigen Abstandangebracht sein, um die erforderliche Neigungzu erreichen. Das unterste Modul sollte nicht denLift berühren. Siehe Bild 3.

Um die maximale Sicherheit zu gewährleisten,ist es nötig, das Line Array immer mit demgeringst möglichen Abstand zum Lift zubefestigen. Das heißt, dass das unterste Modulso nah wie möglich am Lift positioniert ist. SieheBild 3A.

Zum Schutz vor Überladung sollte das Line Arraykeinen unnötigen Abstand zum Lift haben. SieheBild 3B.

4. BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG

4.1 - Den Towerlift auf den Transportrollen (T)abgestützt auf einer ebenen und festenArbeitsfläche aufstellen.

Bei Freiluftanwendungen ist die Gefahr vonWind vorherrschen.Übersteigt die Windgeschwindigkeit 30kmh istes notwendig den Lift mit Seilen zu sichern. ZweiFixierpunkte (X) sind seitlich oben am 2. Profilangebracht, an denen die Zugseile befestigt undauf festem Boden gesichert werden sollten(Niemals an einem Fahrzeug oder einemanderen beweglichen Gegenstand).

4.2 - Die Ausleger aus der Transporthalterung(S) herausnehmen und in derenArbeitsaufnahmen (V) voll einschieben. Dabeiachten Sie bitte darauf, dass sie mittels derSicherheitsbolzen (R) befestigt sind. Die langenAusleger werden vorne neben der Last, diekurzen Ausleger auf der Rückseite angebracht.

4.3 - Die Frontlaststützen (BA) aus derTransporthalterung (S) nehmen und in die festeArbeitsposition auf dem jeweiligen Ausleger undam oberen Ende des 1. Profils bringen (D).Mittels der Sicherheitsbolzen (P1) befestigen.Um die Frontlaststützen (BA) richtig zubefestigen, richten Sie den Lift durch Drehen derKurbeln an den Stelltellern (Q) der Ausleger indie entsprechende Richtung, aus.Mit Splint (BU) u. Bolzen (P1) sichern.

Die senkrechte Liftlage über die verstellbarenStellteller (Q) durch Drehen der Kurbel (H) zumZentrieren der Wasserwaagenblase (F) an derKreismitte einstellen.

4.4 - Die Transportsicherungsbolzen (B) derGabelaufnahmen (C) entfernen und inhorizontale Position bringen.

Die Lastgabeln in der gewünschten Höhepositionieren, um den Line Array Flugrahmen zumontieren.

4.5 - Die maximale Belastung des TL-A450 ist450kg bei einer Vorlagerung von 50cm.

Die jeweilige Ladepunkt Kapazität kann an dersenkrecht durch den Gravitationspunktverlaufenden Linie des zu hängenden LineArrays ermittelt werden.

Die Position des Gravitationspunktes (centre ofgravity) ist abhängig vom jeweiligen Line Arrayund muss vorher errechnet werden. Allerdingsbefindet sich dieser normalerweise in der Mittedes Line Arrays.

Der Lift darf niemals über das angegebeneMaximal-Gewicht von 450kg beladen werden.

4.6 - Der TL-A450 kann zudem als Towerliftgenutzt werden.

Wird er als konventioneller Towerlift verwendet,sollte die Last so nah wie möglich am Towerliftplatziert werden.

4.7 - Hochfahren des Liftes:Sobald das Line Array an seinem Flugrahmenbefestigt ist und in der gewünschten Position anden Gabeln angebracht ist, kann mit demHochfahren des Liftes in die erforderliche Höhebegonnen werden. Dafür wird die Kurbel imUhrzeigersinn gedreht.

Zuerst wird der Gabelschlitten mit dem daranbefestigten Line Array angehoben, wenn diesesganz ausgefahren ist folgt das erste Mast-segment bis es ganz ausgefahren ist, dann daszweite, gefolgt vom dritten.

Das ILS und ALS ermöglichen den Liftauszufahren und gleichzeitig automatisch denSchlitten und die Segmente zu sichern, sodasssie keinesfalls zurückfallen können. Der Lift mitdem angebrachten Line Array wird jederzeit festverankert in seiner Position bleiben.

Hat der Gabellift die gewünschte Höhe erreichtwird, drehen Sie die Kurbel langsam weiter, bisdie roten ALS Sicherungen einrasten undblockieren. Diese Sicherung macht es möglich,dass das Seil nur beim hoch und runter fahrendes Liftes in Anspruch genommen wird.

Die folgenden Instruktionen schildern den Abbaudes Systems.

4.8 - Herabsenken des Liftes:

Der Lift wird durch leichtes Kurbeln imUhrzeigersinn und gleichzeitiges Drücken derroten ALS Sicherung herunter gefahren (G).(Bild 7)

Nun ist das Blockiersystem gelöst.

Die Kurbel nun gegen den Uhrzeigersinndrehen, während dessen die rote ALSSicherung weiterhin gedrückt halten, bis alleLiftsegmente vollständig eingefahren sind.



5. WARTUNG

5.1 - Regelmäßig den Seilzustand kontrollieren.Weist ein Seil Drahtbrüche bzw. Quetschungenauf, ist es sofort durch ein Neues zu ersetzen.Unter keinen Umständen den Hebeturm mitSeilen in schlechtem Zustand verwenden. Nurverwindungssteifes Stahlseil nach DIN 3060verwenden.

5.2 - Der Hebeturm wird werkseitig komplettgeschmiert geliefert. Es wird jedoch empfohlen,regelmäßig ( je nach Bedarf ) das Zahnrad derWinde, die Wälzlager der Antriebswelle und dieHülse, das Kurbelgewinde und die Abschnittezu schmieren.

Achtung: Die Bremsscheiben nicht einölenoder fetten !!!

Die Scheibenbremsen sind mit einer speziellenhitze- und druckbeständigen Schmierungversehen. Bitte keine anderen Produkteverwenden.

Sobald die ALS Sicherung losgelassen wird,blockiert die Sicherung automatisch wieder.Die Mastsegmente müssen einzelnnacheinander vollständig eingefah-renwerden, bevor das nächste Segmenteingefahren wird. Wird bereits eine andereALS Sicherung gedrückt, als die desherunterfahrenden Segmentes, wird dieses ander Stelle blockieren und später nicht weitereinzufahren sein.

Tritt dieser Fall ein, muss bis zumBlockierpunkt wieder hochgefahren undanschließend erneut eingefahren werden.Zuletzt wird die Sicherung des Lastschlittensgelöst, genau wie zuvor beschrieben und zuder gewünschten Höhe hinabgesenkt, in derdas Line Array vom Lift demontiert werdenkann.

4.9 - Transport

Nachdem alle Mastsegmente abgesenkt sind,werden die Aufnahme FAS-01 oder FAS-02entfernt und die Gabeln werden in ihrerhorizontalen Ausgangsposition, nach untenzeigend, befestigt. Der Gabelschlitten wird soweit heruntergefahren, bis die Gabeln für denTransport gesichert werden können (B).Die Bolzen (BU) an den Frontlaststützen lösenund die Frontlaststützen (BA) entfernen. DieBolzen wieder einsetzen (E/D).

Die Ausleger entfernen, indem dieSicherungen gelöst werden, und in derTransporthalterung sichern (S). DieFixierschrauben fest anziehen (J). Der Liftkann mit dem optionalen RH-4 Kit auch hori-zontal transportiert werden.


5.3 - Alle Lifte sollten mindestens einmal jährlichvon einer Fachkraft inspeziert werden, um dengenerellen Zustand aller für den Gebrauch desLifts relevanten Elemente undSicherheitssysteme des Lifts zu überprüfen unddie Zertifizierungen aufrecht zu erhalten.

5.4 - Für eine kontinuierliche Betriebssicherheitsind ausschließlich Original – Ersatzteile zuverwenden. Alle Gewährleistungsansprüchesind für den Anwender aufgehoben, wenn erNicht- Original- Ersatzteile verwendet bzw.Änderungen am Produkt selbst vornimmt.

5.5 - Für die Bestellung von Ersatzteilen ist stetsdessen Bestellnummer anzugeben, welche denStücklisten-Blättern dieser Anleitung zuentnehmen ist.

6. GARANTIE

Die Hersteller - Garantiezeit des Lifts beträgt 3Jahre ab Kaufdatum.

PRO LIFTS S.L. verspricht alle material oderherstellungsbedingten Mängel innerhalb derGarantiezeit durch Reparatur order Austauschzu beseitigen.

In Europa gilt eine Garantiezeit von 24 Monaten.Von der Garantie ausgenommen sind Schädenaufgrund von unsachgemäßem Gebrauch,Verschleiß oder Eingriffen Dritter.

Die Garantie umfasst keineVerbrauchsmaterialien und Mängel, die denWert oder die Gebrauchstauglichkeit nurunerheblich beeinträchtigen.
