Tasmania’s High Performance Structure

Objective of the TIS National Performance Program

1. To produce Australian Junior Representatives

2. To produce COE scholarship holders

3. To assist the development pathway to a future Boomer or Opal

Why athletes receive TIS NPP scholarships

• They have been endorsed by Basketball Australia as a potential international athlete.

• Athletes must be added to the BA Futures Depth Chart as a Projected, Potential or Monitor athlete and stay on this list to obtain and maintain their NPP scholarship. Scholarships are reviewed each year after Nationals. (1 Aug – 31 July).

• Australian profiles are rewarded as a result of performance at National Championships, Performances on tour, in National Head Coach Camps, Country Cup or through projection as a potential international athlete.
