    A Note to you,

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me...for the kingdom of Heaven belongs to such asthese." (Matthew 19:14 NIV) His words are being fulfilled in American society according to new data from theBarna Research Group of Ventura, California. The company's nationwide surveys have determined the probabilityof people accepting Christ as their Savior in relation to a person's age. The data show that if a person does notaccept Jesus Christ as Savior before the age of 14 the likelihood of ever doing so is slim.

On June 20, Boone's Creek Baptist Camp opens its doors to another camp season for our association'schildren and youth. We have been doing this for 57 years. Why do we continue? We want to be a part of leadingyoung people to Christ. We have camp programs that are aimed at leading the young campers to Christ.

The cost per camper for association churches is $110.00 per week. We have limited scholarship moneyavailable for those who cant afford to send their child to camp. Call the association office or go on -line towww.boonescreekbaptistassoc.com for applications.

    The schedule for 2011 is as follows:June 20 24: Boys week, ages 7 14June 27 July 1: Girls week, ages 7 14July 11 15: Jr. Co-ed, ages 7 10July 18 22: Sr. Co-ed, ages 14 - 17July 25 29: Jr. Co-ed, ages 11 - 14

The camp offers a week of intense Bible study, fun and games. A different Boone's Creek BaptistAssociation pastor serves as camp pastor each week. They preach a sermon each night to the campers. The campstaff undergoes an intense interview process and background check before they can work with the children. Theyare trained on the child protection law for the state of Kentucky. The staff for the most part were campers at onetime. They love working with the children and young people.

Summer 1954 camp opened the first time. In the 57 years since then, there are records for the number of campers for 43 of the 57 years. The other 14 years they had camp but didn't record the numbers.

The records revealed: 1,962 salvation decisions - an average of 46 per year for the 43 years of records. Weknow that during the years not recorded that children were saved so the salvations for the camp is probably 2,500or more. So please consider sending your children and young people to Boones Creek camp this year.

Food for Thought: Now, as always, God discloses Himself to "babes" and hides Himself in thick darkness from the wise and the prudent. We must simplify our approach to Him. We must strip down to essentials (and they will be found to be blessedly few). We must put away all effort to impress, and come with the guileless candor of childhood. If we dothis, without doubt God will quickly respond. ~A. W. Tozer
