Cheaper By The Dozen: Ticket2000 As An Annual Subscription

Both the Ticket2000 and the 9 o’clock Ticket2000 are available as an affordable annual subscription. Not only will you save time and money, but you will also enjoy many other advantages:

K Subscribers receive their ticket as an electronic chip card.

K Easy ticket alterations – have your price level, tariff zone or ticket type changed right in your customer service cen-tre (KundenCenter).

K Quick replacement of lost or stolen cards for a nominal fee.

K Subscribers also receive regular mailings from their transport com-pany with attractive recreational and cultural offers.

K On top of that, subscribers will also receive the recreational guide „FreizeitLust“ twice a year and the e-mail newsletter „FreizeitLust-Online“ once a month at no extra charge.

On The Go Every Day With Your Premium Ticket

Ticket2000 is the ticket for everyone who wants to be on the go without limits every day:

K Valid for unlimited trips within your chosen ticket validity area.

K Unlimited travel in the entire VRR area (see pages 6/7) Mondays through Fridays after 7 p.m., all day at the week-ends and official holidays as well as December 24th and December 31st.

K Take along an adult and up to 3 children under 15 years of age at no extra charge during the times listed above.

K Bring a bicycle along for free in the ticket‘s validity area.

K You have the choice of either a transferable or a non-transferable ticket (photo identification required).

K Mobility Guarantee up to 30 Euros (refer to page 8)

For late risers: Ticket2000 as a 9 o’clock Ticket

K Not valid before 9 a.m. Mondays through Fridays.

K Offers the same features as the Ticket2000.

Tip: With an annual subscription you save 13.54 Euros a month in price level B. In price level D the savings is 20.80 Euros.

We Get You There: The Mobility Guarantee

Traffic jams, parking offenders, breakdown or malfunction of vehicles or equipment – these can all be reasons for delays. We still guarantee you mobility.

The Mobility Guarantee allows you to take a taxi or a train that would require an upgrade ticket (IC/EC or ICE) to your destination. We will refund the cost to you if:

K your preferred means of transportation departs more than 20 minutes later than scheduled in the timetable and

K no other obvious means of transportation to your destination such as bus or tram is available.

We will reimburse you the cost up to 30 Euros. You only need submit a request for a refund. The necessary forms are available from all transport companies or for download on the internet.

No refund will be issued if the delay is caused by strike ac-tivity, an act of nature or terrorism (for example an environ-mental catastrophe, bomb threat etc.).

Online Or With Your Mobile: The Journey Planner

Looking to go somewhere? To find out the best way to get to your destination, try the on-line journey planner available on the VRR web site at www.vrr.de/en. On the German site you’ll also find maps for every stop in the VRR area as well as route maps for all VRR cities.

You can also access the journey planner with your WAP-enabled mobile phone. (Please refer to your mobile phone’s instruction manual to find out how to set your phone up for WAP services.)

Here’s how it works:

K Enter the journey planner’s WAP address manually: wap.vrr.de.

K Or have us set your phone up for a nominal fee: simply send a text message to 82005 and save the download link to your mobile phone. Click on the link, and you’re done.

Most transport companies also offer up to the minute time-table information online (see pages 10/11).

Tip: Other people included on your ticket are also entitled to the Mobility Guarantee. More information and a request for a refund can be found in the German language brochure „Die Mobilitätsgarantie“.
