Principal’s Post

Dear Parents and Carers, This term is flying by and classes are now in full swing and sport is well and truly underway. Last week our Leadership Induction Assembly ran perfectly, Thanks to Mrs O’Connell for organising this event. It was great to see families supporting our wonderful leaders at LEPS. On Thursday our PSSA Swimmers will be representing our school at district level. I wish them all the best in their events. Our Athletics and Cross Country events will also be coming up in the next few weeks. The extra curricular opportunities that LEPS has to offer are also being rolled out such as dance, chess club, sewing club and many more. Yesterday, we had our Meet the Teacher BBQ. It was great to see a good turn out of families to come and meet the teachers and see what is happening in your child’s grade for the year. I would like to thank all the staff for staying back to offer this opportunity. We hope it is going to be even bigger next year. The P & C held their AGM last night and I look forward to working with them throughout the year. I would like to congratulate the new team for 2019 and thank everyone who worked tirelessly last year. The 2019 P & C are motivated, energised and ready to support our kids. On Monday, Dave our Chaplain had his last day at LEPS. He has taken up a full time position with his church. The LEPS community would like to thank Dave for his support and the wonderful connection he had with staff and students. I know he will be missed. He assures me that he is only a phone call away if we need him. Plans are in motion to appoint a new Chaplain as soon as possible. Mrs Nic Williams Principal

MCG Making Hamburgers MCG had a great time on Friday making delicious hamburgers.

Everyone contributed to the preparation and cleaning up process…all valuable life skills.

As you can see from the photo’s they were a huge hit!

Student’s then wrote a recount of the process undertaken to make the burgers.

I think we will have a vote to see what we make next week.
