Off Campus – Coming Up “Cassandra, The Musical" will be presented as a limited-engagement concert performance at the GE Theater at Proctors on Saturday, September 13, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Written, composed and produced by Schenectady native and SCCC adjunct Patrick Longo, this sung-through musical highlights Cassandra, the mythical Princess of ancient Troy during the Trojan War. Longo has been a part-time literature instructor at SCCC for the past 13 years and is excited to be presenting his work to his former and current students, and his peers, as it is very much in line with what he teaches at the College. To show his appreciation for the years of support given by SCCC students and staff, he is offering a 50% discount on all tickets to the show for all SCCC staff and students. To receive the discount, staff and students must present staff/student identification at the Proctors Box Office. Longo also will be on campus the week prior to the show to hand out discount ticket vouchers that can be turned in at the Box Office for even greater discounts on tickets for the 2 p.m. show.
