0This is how we do Student life
EE veryone know the basics of what happens during the school day; math, science, a sprinkle of english, and a bit of foreign languages; of course there is a little bit of variance with elective classes; shadowing a teacher, building set pieces for a play, or even looking after children. But what happens after that school bell rings and the students rush out those doors at 3:10?
Every single student at FHS has a different idea of what they are going to do when that bell rings and releases us into freedom; hanging out with friends, play or musical practice, going into Omaha, or possibly playing video games. Some people bring their hobbies to school with multiple hobby-based clubs, such as the International Thespian Society, sewing club, or the gaming club.
Popular activities among FHS students include trivia tuesdays at Applebee’s, traveling to Omaha for Chipotle, or getting slushies and shakes from Sonic. The students at FHS have their own life outside of school, but are not afraid to share their stories!
In the case of senior Jessica Shepard who made the 18u olypic basketball team, or the case of fellow senior athlete Molly Schiermeyer who plays volleyball outside of school for River City Volleyball Club who earned third at nationals in Orlando, Florida. Senior Austin Perez earned his first major role of Edgar Allen Poe in this year’s competition one-act, and earned third place at the district competiton.
The students at Fremont High School perservere inside and outside of school, getting good grades and great test scores, as well as excelling at life outside of school, giving the best that they absolutely can and building a bright and shiny future for themselves outside of high school. No matter if the students of FHS are at school or outside of school, we are having the time of our lives and making the best of these four years, and that is how we do.
Seniors Haylie Dorfmeyer, Jessica Shepard and Hunter Horrocks carry Tiger flags during a white-out football game. Many Fremont High School students share their Tiger pride by attending the games in the student section and participating in all the cheers and fun activities.
