In Memory of Angie Hernandez…

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that

one of our parish’s long time parishioners; Angelina (Angie) Hernandez joined our Lord in eternal peace on Monday, March 18, 2019. Angie died at home with her family in attendance. Angie and her husband, Ernie joined our parish in the 60’s. Angie was very generous in sharing her talents with our parish. She served in many ministries and organizations, including but not lim-ited to: President of the Guadalupanos, involved STA school parent and grand-parent, liturgy minister and fund raising. For her contribution to our parish, she was honored with the Catholic Charities Volunteer Recognition Award in 2007. Angie was a lady with a great devotion for the church. We will miss Angie and her generous heart of gold. Thank you Hernandez family for sharing this special person with our parish. Following is the schedule for Angie’s services; both will be held here at St. Thomas Aquinas:

Vigil Service: Wednesday, 3/27– 7 PM

Funeral Mass– Thursday, 3/28—1 PM Burial immediately following at Calvary Cemetery

Please keep the Hernandez family in your prayers.

SAFEGUARD THE CHILDREN Protect young people from cyberbullying Cyberbullying can happen at any time, on any online platform. It can take many forms – cruel direct messages, threatening emails, mean texts, shared photos, and more. Victims of cyber-bullying often suffer from anxiety and depression, and their self-esteem can be dimin-ished. They may be reluctant to talk about bul-lying, so parents need to be on top of all their children’s online activities. Asking questions and getting information about popular apps and sites will help, too. For more information, get a copy of the VIRTUS® article “Cyber-Bullying: Protecting Young People from Technology Dan-gers” at http://www.la-archdiocese.org/org/protecting/Pages/VIRTUS-Current-Online-Articles.aspx.
