Features
DBFP(X) air handling unit is a thin low-noise air handling unit with variable air volumes specially designed and produced by our company to meet the tendency of compact storey height in China and the rest of world. Its major parts include the high efficiency coil, low-noise fan, casing, drain pan, pre filter and hanger:
The coil adopts the up-to-date high-efficiency heat transfer fin, whose heat transfer efficiency is increased by 60% as compared with the first generation fin. The main body of the coil is constructed of high-quality air-conditioning copper tubes and aluminum foils, and after being integrated through advanced mechanical expanders, it passes the sealing and pressure test at 2.8Mpa. The performance complies with the ARI standard of USA to ensure the excellent performance and reliable quality of the product.
The precise dynamic balancing calibration for the low-noise high-efficiency external rotor fan (for DBFP(X)4 - 15 units) and compact straight-coupling fan (for DBFP(X)1- 3units) ensures the extremely stable operation of the unit, and enables the unit to be featured with low noise and higher static pressure.
Constructed of high-quality galvanized steel sheets, the casing structure is rust and erosion resistant, eye-pleasing and durable. The casing is internally lined with sound-absorbing and thermal insulation materials, and characterized with high strength, good thermal insulation and low noise.
The elaborately designed drain pan and thickly lined thermal insulation ensure the unit to be free of commonly-seen condensation under severe conditions, and thus they are especially fitted for suspended installation.

The lug and hanger frame are designed reasonably for easy installation and saving the space height of buildings.
Since the specially designed removable filter can be easily drawn out from both sides of the unit in a folding way, it is most suitable for compact space and convenient to clean. (For DBFP(X)1 – 6, units with bottom drawn out filters are also available).
In general, it is characterized with excellent cooling performance, low noise, thin height, compact structure, light weight and easy installation. Furthermore, if equipped with a frequency or pressure regulating controller, it is able to run on the basis of variable air volume, according to different seasonal conditions and air-conditioning occasions. It is especially suitable for a variety of air-conditioning engineering applications where storey heights of buildings are compact. (Moreover, to meet the requirements of super compact air-conditioners, the latest DFP (X)1-4 ultrathin lifting unit is released, with the air volume range of 1000m3/h~4000m3/h and a height of only 380mm. Installation Precautions
1. When moving, lifting and installing the equipment, be sure to observe applicable safety specifications to
prevent personnel from injury and equipment from damage.
2. Prior to installation, first check whether the exterior of the unit is intact, and rotate the fan impeller manually
through the unit outlet to listen carefully whether there is any metal friction noise from the inside If any
abnormal noise is heard, adjust till it does not collide with the casing.
3. Install the unit in a horizontal way, keep the hanging bar perpendicular to the bottom slot iron or lug of the unit,
and be sure to lock the up and down nuts (For details, see the Instructions on IOM). The unit shall not be
subjected to the weight of the external water pipe and air duck, and the inlet and outlet of the unit must be
flexibly connected to the air supply and return duck.
4. All pipes connected to the unit must be provided with adjusting valves (add danpers except condensation
pipes) to adjust the water flow and air flow and must ensure cutting off the power supply in maintenance.
The external water pipes and supply air ducks must be thermally insulated.
5. Given the negative pressure, the condensate drain pipe must be provided with a U-shaped trap into the
sewage. To ensure smooth discharge of condensate, the drain pipe must have 1/25-1/50 gradient.
6. Open the side panel with a nameplate and connect to the power supply, according to the wiring diagram,
start the fan after power-on; inspect whether the impeller rotates in the arrow direction on the fan.
7. Some space for maintenance must be retained around the unit to facilitate maintenance and repair.
Use Precautions
1. Prior to starting the unit fan, be sure to remove all irrelative objects in the unit and air ducts, and check that all
valves are in good condition.
2. When starting the unit, have the unit run under rated air flow through adjusting dampers in the air duct; never
have the unit run at excessive air flow and over-current. For the electric controlling box, the incoming line of
each motor of the unit is separately provided with a proper thermal relay to protect the unit. (For DBFP(X)1 – 3
units DFP(X)1 – 4 units three phase only)
3. Standard condition for using the product: 7°C enter water for cooling, and 60°C enter water for heating. It is
required that the water should be clear and have working pressure ≤1.6MPa; fresh air condition and mix
condition comply with chinese standerd.
4. In a season when the equipment is not used, discharge the water in the coil to reduce pipe rust and erosion.
In winter, special care must be given to prevent the copper pipes from frost crack.
