There is a green hill far awayoutside a city wallwhere our dear Lord was crucified,who died to save us all.

We may not know, we cannot tellwhat pains he had to bear,but we believe it was for ushe hung and suffered there.

There was no other good enoughto quell the surge of sin;he, only, can give us the powerin life’s hard fight to win.

Lord Jesus, dearly you have lovedand we must love you too,and trust in your redeeming truthand try your works to do.
