Welcome to Wayzata Community Church where lots of different people come together for the shared purpose of worshiping God and encouraging each other through the inclusive love of Jesus. Whether you are our guest, looking for a church home, or already a member, we want you to feel welcomed by our congregation and inspired and uplifted by our worship service.

You are invited to be seated to receive the Postlude as a parting gift.

Or, you may quietly proceed to Founders Hall for fellowship and coffee.

And, if you have joys or concerns to share with us, one of our clergy leaders will be near the Prayer Room

at the back of the Sanctuary.

...Our Worship has ended, now our Service begins...

We, as fellow Christians, join with you in the covenant you make this day. We recognize our unity as children of God, and acknowledge our important relationship with each member of the church. We promise to watch over each newly baptized member for good and to support efforts to teach and guide each one on the Christian journey. We pledge to you and to all members of this congregation, our care, our counsel, our affection, and our prayers.

HYMN OF DEVOTION Blest Be the Tie That Binds, vs. 1+3 Blue #272 Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love; The fellowship of kindred minds is like to that above.

When we are called to part it gives us inward pain, But we shall still be joined in heart, and hope to meet again.

THE GATHERING OF GOD’S PEOPLE The whole assembly proclaims the Word by gathering for

worship. Our gathering witnesses to neighbors, friends, and family that we live by rooted and radical allegiance

to the One who created, redeemed, and sustains us.

THE GREAT THANKSGIVING All things come from God. With praise and thanksgiving

we return to God that which has been shared. The entirety of worship, draws us into communion with Jesus.

We give thanks for this time of unity.

THE WORD FOR THE DAY The Word is always “Good News.” Jesus encounters us,

and is truly present, in the proclamation of the Word. Through spoken word and by participating in the liturgy,

our congregation proclaims the Word of God.
