“I came to ILUNO to improve my English, but have also made a lot of new friends and learned from other cultures. The classes are very interesting, the teachers are enthusiastic, and it is easy to learn. I plan to continue my studies in computer science in Omaha and eventually graduate from UNO with my bachelor’s degree. I am very thankful to all my ILUNO teachers. It was a very awesome experience.”

ELSA FLORA SOMÉ Burkina Faso

“I attended IPD because I wanted to have the opportunity to improve my English language and sharpen my business skills in order to succeed in a globally competitive work environment. During training, I improved my leadership skills and learned how to listen to and understand different viewpoints, especially in a group. The most challenging part was having to present in front of professionals from other countries, discuss topics related to my studies, and work on final presentation.”

LUCIA SPINALI Human Resources Consultant in a Recruitment Company based in Milan, Italy

MUHAMMAD WAQAS SALEEM Lecturer in Anthropology, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan.

“The customized faculty training at the University of Nebraska at Omaha as a part of the Pakistan University Linkages Program (PULP) has greatly and profoundly transformed my teaching and leadership skills. Now, I consider myself more as a facilitator rather than a teacher and I view students as active participants in the learning process. I have effectively learned about learner’s psychology and needs, and now engage with active classroom practices. I have incorporated technology into my teaching practices and it has immensely improved my outreach and availability.”
