Convenient Configuration in BACnet Networks

The WAGO BACnet Configurator

The WAGO BACnet Configurator represents a powerful tool for configuring and operating the BACnet controller in a BACnet network.

The configuration interface allows logical structuring of the network, addressing of the controller and configuration of the clients and servers to be performed. Additionally a value browser is provided to enable the properties of BACnet objects to be viewed.

Optimized Hardware Confi guration

The WAGO BACnet controller can be combined with any number of standard and building-specifi c I/O modules from the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM. Thus, digital and analog inputs/outputs with diff erent signals and potentials, as well as interface terminals to other systems (KNX/EIB, DALI, EnOcean, MP-Bus, etc.) can be integrated into the building automation network.Due to the fi ne modularity of the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM, it is possible to tailor a node with 1, 2, 4 or 8 inputs/outputs to suit a particular project’s requirements.

The WAGO BACnet controller combines the advantages of the proven, modular WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM with the DIN EN ISO 16484-5 standardized BACnet communica-tions protocol. It supports the standardized BACnet Building Controller (B-BC) device profi le with all necessary BACnet interop-erability building blocks (BIBBs) per IOB (interoperability areas).

The controller has been designed for complete BACnet integra-tion and interoperability with components from other manufac-turers.

Powerful Graphical Programming

The WAGO-I/O-PRO CAA programming tool, based on the IEC 61131-3 standard, enables the creation of powerful applications quickly and conveniently for all aspects of HVAC and room automation. For creation of applications, the user can rely on extensive libraries of pre-prepared function blocks for integrated room functions or automation of complex heating, ventilation and air-condition systems.

Integrated Web Server

An integrated Web server enables the creation of a graphical user and display interface for the BACnet controller. Application-specifi c Web pages can be accessed from any workstation PC connected to the TCP/IP network via standard browsers.

Automatic Generation of BACnet Objects For digital and analog hardware data points, the appropriate BACnet objects are automatically created in the server upon start up.

DI

Interface for PTP RS-232 interface for establishing a BACnet point-to-point (PTP) connection or connection of external user displays.

Specialty Modules: As interface to DALI, EnOcean radio systems, MP-Bus, M-Bus, etc.

Digital Outputs: Examples include fans, pumps, blinds, lightingsystems, etc.

Digital Inputs: Examples include switches, buttons, fi re dampers, limiters, detectors, etc.

Analog Inputs: For measured values such as tem-perature, humidity, air quality, etc.

Analog Outputs: For control of valve and fl ap positioning motors, etc.

Creation of any BACnet Objects Required Additional BACnet objects are easily created via WAGO-I/O-PRO CAA or WAGO BACnet Confi gurator and serve as an interface to the IEC 61131-3 application. Objects properties can be linked directly to the inputs or outputs of function blocks. This enables simple and fl exible interfacing of the freely program-mable IEC application to BACnet.

BACnet Communication The client/server provides the BACnet services necessary for bidirectional communication with other BACnet controllers.

The BACnet Controller for all Applications Whether automating rooms or HVAC systems, the high-performance modular WAGO BACnet control-ler is always the right choice.
