The Victoria Mutual Group’s Financial Independence Planning Tool Support File Guide for General Users

Step 1. Start

Welcome to the Victoria Mutual Group’s Financial Independence Planning Tool.

This tool will help you to determine, which products and services offered by the Victoria Mutual Group best fit your needs.

The tool is an animated questionnaire that is situated at a family home. Simply follow the steps below to begin.

From the landing page, select begin and start using the tool right away.

Step 2. Questionnaire

To begin the questionnaire, first select from one of three Life Stages:

1. I’m saving and investing towards my goals2. I’ve achieved a significant goal3. I’m preserving my investment

As you answer questions in the tool you will move through the different scenes of the home. Questions 1-3 use a patio scene, questions 4-12 use a kitchen scene and questions 13-16 use a living room scene.

Dramatisations

At any point in the tool you can select a scenario from the Dramatisation button on the top left-hand corner of screen. There are three stories for each of the three Life Stages as described above.

● I’m saving and investing towards my goals features a young adult who has worked hard to achieve his career goal and is now saving to purchase a home for his mother.

● I’ve achieved a significant goal features a young adult who has worked hard to achieve a significant financial goal in her life, the purchase of her own apartment.

● I’m preserving my investment features an older couple, who migrated from Jamaica to Canada and worked hard to be able to purchase a retirement home in Jamaica.

After answering each question, objects will appear on screen that are associated with the options you can choose from. Changing your answer to a question will produce different objects.

Step 3. Results

Upon completion of the questionnaire, you will be presented with your customised results, which will be presented on two tabs: General Recommendations and Products and Solutions.

General RecommendationsThe General Recommendations consist of the overall financial goals that you should be striving for based on your answers to the questions.

Products and Solutions The Products and Solutions are specific product recommendations from the Victoria Mutal Group that will assist you in achieving your Financial Independence goals.

Step 4. Next Steps

A) Submit to Advisor

B) Email Results

After viewing your results, you will have the opportunity to take the following actions as a step towards securing your financial future. One or both of the actions below can be completed.

If you would like to be contacted by a Victoria Mutual Advisor, simply complete the “Submit to Advisor” form. (You will also be required to check a box to provide your consent for forwarding your information onto an Advisor). By filling in and submitting this information, you are agreeing to send your information onto an Advisor who will make contact with you to start the process of securing your financial future.

Once you have submitted your form, your contact details along with the answers to the questions and results will all be saved in a database owned by Victoria Mutual. This will allow us to remain in contact with you.

An email will be sent to the address that you have provided to confirm that your information has been received by an Advisor.

To email your results to yourself for future reference, simply fill in your email address in the box provided and click submit. By doing so, a link will be sent to your email address which contains all of the inputs and results that you completed on the questionnaire. This feature is particularly useful if you have used the tool on your mobile phone device and would like to print your results from your desktop.

Step 5. Print

If you choose, you can print your customised ‘Financial Independence Planning Report’. Just click print and you will be presented with a preview of what your report will look like.

Other Features

A) Restart

B) Review

You can restart the questionnaire by clicking the restart button on the top right of the tool. This will take you back to the avatar selection page. All previous answers will be erased and you will have to go through the entire questionnaire again to see the results.

You can review the questionnaire by clicking the review button on the top right of the tool. This will take you back to the first question which will allow you to change any of the answers you had previously selected. Previous answers will be visible but you will now have the ability to change them.

C) Social Media LinksAt the bottom right hand side of the tool there are four (4) links to the following Social Media sites:

By clicking on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, you will have the ability to share the tool across these sites. The share includes a link to the tool, not your specific answers and results. By clicking on the YouTube link, you will be brought to Victoria Mutual’s YouTube channel.
