The dream lives on through now four generations of family, and committed staff. On the river there can be over 80 years of guiding experience amongst the senior guides.

With its rustic charm River Valley can provide you with the perfect exclusive venue for your special occasion.

A Range of Country Style MealsThis is generally roasts and gourmet BBQs, accompanied by produce grown fresh in the Lodge’s own vegetable garden. Our fully licensed bar and restaurant can seat up to 80 guests.

SPECIAL FUNCTIONS


DiningAt River Valley Lodge we major in traditional country-style cooking. Our onsite vegetable garden compliments almost all our dishes, ensuring freshness and taste.

Our meals are served Buffet style to your table and consist of three courses of prepared dishes made onsite. Most special dietary requirements can be catered for with notice.

In winter the huge open fire provides an ideal atmosphere for any occasion.

SPECIAL FUNCTIONS


Terms and ConditionsDue to the unique nature of our business, we require that a booking contract be filled in and signed and half of the venue charge be paid to secure your booking. The rest of the payment must be made 30 days prior to the date of your function. Please make sure you have read & agreed with these terms and conditions prior to confirming your function.

Venue ChargeA Venue Charge of $1500 must be paid to confirm your special function with us. This fee covers:

• Management and coordination of your special event• Exclusive use of the facilities• Provision and management of staff to be of service to you throughout the

time• Use of furniture, equipment and accessories• Complete room set-up and clean up after the function• Arranging transport – if applicablePlease note accommodation is additional to the venue hire

Additional InformationAvailabilityOur exclusive season starts from late April and ends early October. We aim for you to have River Valley Lodge exclusively to yourselves from 1pm the day of your function until the bar closes that evening.

Confirmation of Menu and Guest NumbersWe require final numbers 10 working days prior to your function. This will be the minimum number of guests you will be charged for. Please advise us of any guests who have special dietary requirements at this time.

CancellationsIf you cancel your booking within 30 days of your function the Venue Charge is non-refundable. Prior to 30 days we will refund up to 50% of your deposit, at the discretion of management.

PricingAll prices quoted in this pack are GST inclusive and due to fluctuating produce prices, all menu and drinks prices are subject to change without notice. Please check with us for current menus & prices before making menu choices.

Children PricingThe cost of meals and accommodation for children are:

• 12 years and under ½ price• 4 years and under free

Payment for AccountsPayment is due the day after your function, unless prior arrangements have been made with management. All function costs are allocated to one account (please let us know prior to your function if you would like your account split). Any unpaid costs incurred by your guests will be added to the final account.

Damages and BreakagesAny damage to, breakage to or loss of River Valley property or equipment will be charged at replacement cost.

Provision of StaffRiver Valley will provide sufficient staff to set-up, serve meals and refreshments, and to manage all requirements during your stay.

Additional Information - cont’dRoom Layout and PresentationIf a seating plan is required, then it will be your responsibility to submit this and the room layout at least 10 working days prior to the day of your function. Every endeavour will be made by staff to adhere to the proposed table plan. Management will advise immediately of any change that is necessary to the plan in order to better facilitate the function.

Any special table arrangements and decorations can be added to the tables or Lodge from 10am the day of the function.

Preparation and Clean-upPreparation before and clean up after the function is the responsibility of River Valley.

Purchase of RefreshmentsAll refreshments for the function are to be purchased through River Valley, unless prior arrangements are made by management.

Licenced PremisesRiver Valley is a licenced premises under the Sale of Liquor Act 1989 and therefore reserves the right to refuse to serve alcohol to anyone who does not comply with the provisions of the Act relating to under age, intoxication etc.

Smoke FreeThe Lodge is a smoke-free building, including the accommodation units. There are designated smoking areas outside of the Lodge.
