Objectives
• To mobilise local authorities for ambitious action towards sustainable urban water management, thus also enhancing quality of life in European cities
• To contribute to the implementation of EU policies and legislation for improving and safeguarding European water resources

Vision
In 2030, hundreds of local governments committed to the Urban Water Agenda 2030 have made tangible contributions to fostering the sustainability of Europe’s water resources through integrated local actions.

• 09/2017: 3rd Cities & Water conference, Porto, Portugal
• 06-10/2017: Wide consultation process
• 03-05/2017: Establishment of UWA2030 Core Group of Cities
• 02/2017: Awarding of service contract to ICLEI & EUROCITIES
• 12/2016: Call for tender by European Commission
• 10/2016: 2nd Cities & Water Conference Bratislava, Slovakia
• 02/2016: 1st Cities & Water Conference, Leeuwarden, Netherlands
