HAVE YOU TAKEN THE TIME…LATELY?
It’s July already. Summer is speeding by.
Have you taken the time to smell the flowers, or the forest, or the aftermath of a rainstorm? Have you taken the time to marvel at the wonders of creation? Have you taken the time to get those summer projects done? Or at least started? Or, maybe, a plan? Have you taken the time to show your family you love them? Have you taken the time to make time for your loved ones? It’s July already. If not now, when?
It’s July already. Summer is speeding by.
Have you taken the time to converse with your Lord in prayer? Have you taken the time to worship your Lord? Have you taken the time to read and study God’s Word? Have you taken the time to thank God for his precious Gospel? Have you taken the time to thank Jesus for your salvation? If not now, when?
It’s July already. Summer is speeding by.
Have you noticed anyone in need of kindness and compassion? Have you taken the time to offer kindness and compassion? Have you taken the time to share God’s Word with someone? If not now, when?
It’s July already…soon to be August…then September…
Take the time to do all of the above and more. Things tend not to get done if they are put off. But first, commit your desires and plans and efforts to the Lord. And then, go. Take the time. Today!
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! Set this glory of yours above the heavens… Whenever I look up at your heavens, the works of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place— what is man that you remember him, the son of man that you pay attention to him!... O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! (Psalm 8:1,3,4,9 EHV)
Christ is with you. Christ is for you. Christ is in you. All by grace.
In Jesus,
Pastor Stephen Luchterhand

WORSHIP AT TRINITY
Sundays at 9 am Mondays at 6:30 pm Saturdays at 6:30 pm
(Saturdays through Labor Day)
Dear Lord Jesus, you once sat over against the treasury to observe how your people gave. You have caused your presence there in the Temple to be recorded that we might know that you are still concerned. Grant to us the willingness and love that the poor window manifested who gave all that she had; and grant to us a proper concern like yours, that your children give as you have prospered them, that your coffers may be filled with the means to spread the gospel in the world, to maintain the ordinances of your house among us, and to provide the means whereby the sufferings of many may be alleviated. In your name we ask this. Amen.
If you are unable to make it to worship, you may listen to one of our sister congregations services through local radio stations on Sunday mornings.
Zion, Rhinelander Services on WYCE 93.7 FM at 9:00 am
Christ, Eagle River Services on WERL 950 AM at 10:00 am

Mid-week Bible Study (Wednesday @ 12:15 p.m.) is “on break” until mid-August. Sunday Bible Study will resume the weekend after Labor Day.
We will be offering a summer Bible Blitz, July 23-25, at Trinity. Pastor Michael Berg, Assistant Professor of Theology at Wisconsin Lutheran College, will speak about apologetics, defending and proclaiming the Christian faith to those around us. Here’s a description of his presentation:
We are given the command to “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have” (1 Peter 3:15). But what does that look like? In this presentation we explore the ways Christians have and can speak about their faith to the skeptic. How might a philosopher, a scientist, a lawyer, an historian, or even an artist look at the evidence of God’s existence and specifically the facts of Christ’s resurrection? Each has a unique vantage point about the same basic fact: Christ rose from the dead and defeated the devil for you and me.
Summer means “No School” but it doesn’t mean the building is quiet. Teachers are already planning for the 2019-2020 school year. New curriculum is being looked at, lesson plans are being decided upon, and cleaning and planning classroom layouts and designs are already in progress.
If you know of someone who would like to know more about Trinity Lutheran School and what we offer, not only academically but spiritually, please have them contact the office. We would be happy to speak with them and get them in contact with Mr. Wieting or one of the teachers.
Upcoming weekend worship Scripture texts and themes: As July begins, we’re in the middle of a five-week sermon series on the book of Galatians. Theme: “Live Free in Christ”
July 6-8 = Galatians 2:11-21 “Paul’s Battle Cry: Justified By Faith!”
July 13-15 = Galatians 3:23-29 “What’s in Your Wardrobe?”
July 20-22 = Galatians 6:1-10, 14-16 “Living Object lessons of Love”
July 27-29 = “Followers of Christ Support Kingdom Work”

MINISTRY UPDATES
T
Trinity Seedlings is a new opportunity at Trinity! Well, with all of the logging that took place, perhaps we need to plant new trees? Nope, Trinity Seedlings has nothing to do with trees – Trinity Seedlings is all about “Planting Jesus in the Hearts of Toddlers.” Our PreK teacher, Mrs. MeLissa Wieting, is leading this effort (it begins in September) to reach families with children who are too young for PreK, but not too young for Jesus. Who’s going to get the word out about this? Do you even have to ask? Pick up a “forest green” flyer in the fellowship hall and share with families who have children ages 0-3!
The complete Evangelical Heritage Bible (EHV) will be ready for purchase in July! Please see the sign-up sheets in the fellowship hall. The more copies ordered, the more savings. This new, faithful translation of God’s Word is a must for any student of the Bible, especially if you like to compare translations in your reading and study. The EHV is the primary translation we currently use in worship services.
It’s been a “noisy” spring on the Trinity campus. For a couple weeks there was activity to our east (repaving of Brunswick Road) as well as the logging that took place. There will be some cleanup in visible areas on campus as the summer goes by. Plans are to landscape the area around the school entrance as well.
