The Tobin K-8
School
The Tobin is an extended services K-8 school that engages school staff, families and commu-nity partnerships to help students’ social- emo-tional well-being and academic success.
The model of our school places students at the center of our work by creating networks of shared responsibility among all our stakehold-ers. As a team, everyone helps to provide guid-ance, expertise, political support, and internal and external resources that support the goals of our Quality School Plan. Our goal is to continue to strengthen the home-school connection.
The Tobin K-8 School has partnered with the Achievement Network (ANet) to help us estab-lish the structures and practices necessary for a successful transition to the Massachusetts Common Core curriculum.

The Tobin School has a very spacious, full-functional school auditorium and theater. However, because the school lacks a gym space, gym class is held in this area despite the fact it is dimly lit. Due to a lack of storage space throughout the school, the area is also used to hold addition-al storage. Volunteers can help organize storage space, clean and beautify the area.
