ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The festival is the collective vision of UKHOZI FM’s radio presenter Irvin Sihlophe (aka DJ AMEN) and comedian Mr. Joshua Mbele (aka Pastor Mjosty) who are passionate about South African citizen's safety. They saw a need to bring people from different congregations to come and pray together on Easter Sunday. DJ AMEN and Pastor Mjosty are from UGU district born in Harding and St Faiths, respectively.

Drug abuse, road accidents, and natural disasters are robbing South Africa talented brothers and sisters. Whiles there are many ways of addressing these problems, the founders of UVUKILE GOSPEL FESTIVAL believe that prayer is one of the methods that can produce fruits.

UVUKILE GOSPEL FESTIVAL draw a diverse group of locals and visitors that will enjoy the diverse line up of musical acts, speakers, and other entertainment offered. This 3rd Annual, UVUKILE NOKHOZI FM GOSPEL FESTIVAL will be a great opportunity for families and friends; locals and visitors to pray together, enjoying music that speak to their souls listening to motivational speakers and community leaders.

There will be an opportunity for local musicians to showcase their talent while sharing a stage with their role models. The intention is that prayer becomes a big annual prayer that is hosted in South Coast.
