In addition to celebrating the district!s history, it is alsovital that all Shore Regional stakeholders observe the district!spresent efforts to foster a positive educational environment.Shore Regional has put forth sincere efforts to become compli-ant with new state legislation articulated in 2011!s Anti-BullyingBill of Rights. Shore Regional High School!s revised anti-bully-ing policy along with other anti-bullying efforts reaffirms thedistrict!s commitment to providing every student with a high-quality education, in a caring, safe environment.

Blue DEVILS STAND AGAINST Harassment, Intimidation and BULLYING (HIB)

With the commencement of the 2011-2012 school year, Shore Regional High School District isproud to be in compliance with state mandates regarding new anti-bullying laws adopted in January2011. Shore Regional has fully embraced the new law and crafted a revised Harassment, Intimidationand Bullying (HIB) policy compliant with the state Department of Education's stipulations. Signed byGovernor Chris Christie in January, the bill passed in the Assembly and Senate in November 2010and has become known as the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights. In preparation for implementation ofnew anti-HIB measures, Shore Regional administrators, teachers and staff have attended regionaltraining sessions to further gain insight into what has been called the toughest anti-HIB law of its kindin the nation.*

Per the new law, Shore Regional has appointed an anti-bullying specialist, an anti-bullying co-ordinator and formed an anti-bullying team to address HIB incidents. The new law requires special-ized investigations of reported incidents of HIB. Incidents may be reported in-person to any ShoreRegional employee, to the Vice-Principal's office or online via a reporting form hosted on the district'swebsite. Further anti-bullying training has been planned to meet new professional-development re-quirements for teachers and administrators. Educational presentations for students have also beenplanned to further bolster the HIB policy's implementation.
