The Seven Ranges Baden-Powell Patrol

Award was designed to promote patrol

spirit and patrol unity within the troop as

well as encourage use of patrol method

within the troop. The requirements, although

adapted for use at camp, will aide a patrol in

earning most of the requirements for the

National Honor Patrol Award. The

requirements for the National Honor Patrol

Award are listed on the back of this

brochure, or on page 23, in the 11th edition

of the BSA handbook. All requirements for

the Seven Ranges Baden-Powell Patrol

Award are to be done by the entire patrol as

a group, and worked on while in camp. Your

unit’s Camp Commissioner will sign off the

requirements as your patrol completes them.

Once all requirements have been completed,

obtain all appropriate signatures on the tear-

off form, and turn this form into your Camp

Commissioner. Keep the rest of this

brochure with your patrol records. Any

questions that you may have should be

directed to your Unit Commissioner.

HAVE A PATROL NAME, FLAG, AND YELL Put your patrol design on equipment and use your patrol yell. Keep patrol records up to date. HOLD TWO PATROL MEETINGS EVERY MONTH TAKE PART IN AT LEAST ONE HIKE, OUTDOOR ACTIVITY, OR OTHER SCOUTING EVENT COMPLETE TWO GOOD TURN OR SERVICE PROJECTS APPROVED BY THE PATROL LEADERS’ COUNCIL. HELP TWO PATROL MEMBERS ADVANCE ONE RANK. WEAR THE FULL UNIFORM CORRECTLY (at least 75 percent of the patrol’s membership) HAVE A REPRESENTATIVE ATTEND AT LEAST THREE PATROL LEADERS’ COUNCIL MEETINGS. HAVE EIGHT MEMBERS IN THE PATROL OR INCREASE PATROL MEMBERSHIP OVER THE PREVIOUS THREE MONTHS.

REQUIREMENTS

1A___Have a patrol name, flag, cheer 1B___Put your patrol design on equipment 1C___Use your patrol cheer 1D___Bring your patrol flag to all retreat ceremonies at camp 2A___Have at least two patrol meetings while in camp 2B___Have your patrol meetings planned on paper 3A___Take part in at least one camp-wide event as a patrol 3B___Take part in two additional events as a patrol 4_____Attend Monday/Wednesday vespers as a patrol

5_____As a patrol, complete a good turn or service project while in camp

6_____Have a uniform inspection by your camp commissioners in which 75% of your patrol is wearing the official Scout uniform correctly 7_____Have someone from your

patrol present at all patrol leaders’ council meetings held in camp (There must be at least one meeting attended in camp)

8_____As a patrol, discuss ways to

increase membership in your troop and patrol. Come up with a plan to do so.
