“Isn’t it great to come to work knowing you’re going to find a nice bunch, enjoy your time and

accomplish your tasks? Well, that’s how I feel at Pie, proud to be part of this amazing group. When I

joined the team, I was instantly exhilarated and honored to work on amazing projects such as the

Science Museum of Minnesota and the Viking’s US Bank Stadium. It may be challenging sometimes,

keeping up with all the complex tasks involved in building science consulting, but it is rewarding and

motivating the accomplishments we achieve as a team. Pie offers a great potential for career

development and training. We keep a high standard, focused in respect and integrity, which are

paramount to our success. But most importantly, our relationships with our clients and between

ourselves make me feel part of a big family. And family fun is part of our day-to-day, “enjoying the

ride!”

Pie’s Employee Benefits Program

“Prior to joining Pie, I was approached by a recruiter representing another consulting firm. This person has also

recruited for Pie in the past, so he knew both firms well. He noted that Pie’s offer was a very good one and said, “You

won’t get another offer like that!”. I am extremely pleased with my decision to join Pie. Beyond their outstanding

benefits, Pie has a very entrepreneurial spirit with a “We can do that!” attitude, and tremendous energy for client

service. I am able to work independently, yet collaboratively with the team and was given immediate trust and

responsibility on Day 1. I look forward to accomplishing great things with a great company.”

Charles Link, Project Manager

Pie’sYear-End Activities

The Fall of every year marks the time when Pie reflects on the current year to establish strategic goals for the year that

will follow. It’s a time for evaluation and goal-setting, and a time for celebration. The following diagram illustrates this

process.

The Sunshine Trip!

At Pie, we work hard and we play hard too. At the end of each year,

when we hit our sunshine goal, every full-time staff member is

rewarded with a “sunshine” bonus to take a great vacation. New

refrigerator? Nope. Staycation? Notta. This is a bonus to go out and

explore the world. Just take lots of pictures! Where would you go?

Maui Napa, CA Grand Canyon

Every December Pie covers

the travel expenses for ALL

Pie staff (including 1 spouse

or guest) to come to Denver

for our annual town hall

meeting and Christmas party.

A time for celebration and

inspiration, the Annual Town

Hall provides a venue to award

key staff contributions, recognizes

our annual achievements, and

unveil new goals & priorities

for the year ahead.

The Annual Christmas Party

hosts 150+ staff and their

guests with dinner, drinks,

raffles, and last year even

included craps, roulette,

blackjack, and poker tables.

In early November, managers from

across all Pie offices convene at an

off-site resort in Colorado Springs

for our Annual Leadership Retreat.

The 2+ day collaborative planning

session provides annual alignment

surrounding our strategic growth goals

for the coming year and beyond.

Pie also covers overnight

lodging at the Christmas

Party event hotel for those

staff/guests coming in from

out-of-town offices for all of

our local CO staff as well.

ETR - Enjoy the Ride!

A mantra throughout Pie’s offices, “ETR” is a reminder to take time to have fun every day. We do this through a

variety of Pie sponsored events and staff get-togethers.

“Pie is so much more than a job. Being a single mother of three

creates quite the challenge when looking for a company to work for

that truly believes in achieving that work/home life balance. Pie is the

true embodiment of community, respect, ownership and family. Pie

embraces the diverse set of skills we all bring to the table and places

each of us in our areas of expertise while providing endless

opportunities for growth and advancement within the company. I am

truly motivated to come to work every day to see what new journeys

the day ahead of me holds. The ability to be there for my family and

my job is truly a blessing that I will cherish always.”
