Carter Caldwell (Home Invasion) At Actors Theatre: Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula, every every minute and A Christmas Story. Other Theatre: The Seagull, Peer Gynt, Vinegar Tom, Machinal and Marriage at the University of Evansville. While in Evansville, Caldwell served as the director for Peaches and the producer for Theatre Party, Generation Why and Lil’ Willies. Additional Credits: Caldwell attended high school at Louisville’s Youth Performing Arts School (YPAS), took classes at Walden Theatre and received a B.F.A. in Theatre Performance from the University of Evansville.

Andres Nicolas Chaves (Gutted) is a Colombian-born actor, writer and musician. At Actors Theatre: Macbeth and every every minute. Other Theatre: Earthquakes in London and a staged reading of his bilingual adaptation Romeo y Julieta at the Guthrie Theater; King Lear and The Comedy of Errors at Door Shakespeare; and Julius Caesar at The Back Room Shakespeare Project Chicago. Additional Credits: Chaves recently graduated from the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater B.F.A. Actor Training Program. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild and serves as the Junior Ambassador for the city of Minneapolis.

Andrew Cutler (#Matter and Midsummer’s Eve) is a co-founder of First Floor Theater in Chicago. At Actors Theatre: Fifth Third Bank’s A Christmas Carol and Golden. Other Theatre: Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Judy in Trouble in Mind, Margie/Ensemble in City of Angels, and a variety of roles in stagings/readings of new works in the student-driven Lab Series at Ohio State University; Nora in Brighton Beach Memoirs at Gallery Players; Pinocchio in The Short Comedy of Pope John Paul I, or Luciani! (original play) at Available Light Theatre; Ginette/Sandrine/Marci in Almost, Maine at Right Brain Productions; and Isabel in Mr. Scrooge at Columbus Children’s Theatre. The Three Musketeers and the SCAD Senior Showcase. Film: During her final year, Huffstetler was honored with the Best Actress in a Graduate Thesis Film award for her role in Dirt. Additional Credits: Huffstetler graduated with a B.F.A. in Performing Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2013. While at SCAD she obtained certifications in Rapier & Dagger and Single Sword, with recommendations in Unarmed Combat, from the Society of American Fight Directors, recognizing her achievements as an Actor Combatant.

Daniel Johnson (Love Languages, Foley Artist, Seep) is an actor, musician and writer from North Dakota. At Actors Theatre: Fifth Third Bank’s A Christmas Carol and Golden. Other Theatre: Jean in Miss Julie, Jasper in The Aliens and Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, to name a few favorites. Additional Credits: Johnson earned his B.A. in Music and Theatre Arts at Minot State University in 2014. He then began studying at the University of North Dakota for his M.A. in Theatre Arts where he performed the role of Hamlet for his thesis. Elijah Jones (Midsummer’s Eve and Seep) is a 2016 graduate of Penn State

University’s School of Theatre and has appeared in various Centre Stage and off-Centre Stage productions at his alma mater. At Actors Theatre: Fifth Third Bank’s A Christmas Carol, Golden and Macbeth. Other Theatre: Some of his favorite roles include Melvin in No Place to be Somebody, Benny in In the Heights and Tanner in Good Kids. Additional Credits: Jones also trained at Theatre Academy London. When Jones isn’t acting, he’s writing and recording original music. After his time in the Professional Training Company is complete, he plans to move either to New York, Los Angeles or Atlanta to continue pursuing both acting and music.

Sam Kotansky (Melto Man and Lady Mantis and Seep) is from Baltimore, Maryland and rural Pennsylvania. At Actors Theatre: Fifth Third Bank’s A Christmas Carol and Gratuitous Nudity…Bad Broccoli. Other Theatre: Kotansky appeared in In the Blood, The Lady from the Sea, Terminus by Mark O’Rowe, the world premiere of Video Galaxy, and Really Really at The Theatre School at DePaul University. He was an apprentice at Powerhouse Theater at Vassar College and studied with Master Teacher Norman Taylor at Movement Theater Studio in Brooklyn, New York. playwriting. Film: Coward and On the Edge of Desire (Jamaican short films) and Sharon Hayes’ Ricerche: three, part of a video art installation. Additional Credits: McHardy is originally from Montego Bay, Jamaica. She received a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachussetts. McHardy has been the Vice Chairperson of the Western Junior Theatre in Jamaica since 2011.

Grace Palmer (Home Invasion) At Actors Theatre: Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula and every every minute. Other Theatre: Understudy in Pilgrim’s Progress at A Red Orchid Theatre, The Mountain Digby at MCL Chicago and How to Run for Mayor at the Chicago Musical Theatre Festival. She has devised many shows with fellow comedians, including Table Manners at The Public House Theatre. Web Credits: Palmer created her own web series, Don’t Fund Me, which can be found on YouTube. Additional Credits: Palmer received her B.F.A. in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University. She is also a graduate of both The iO Theater and The Second City improv training centers. Jacob Sabinsky (Midsummer’s Eve and Seep) is a recent graduate of Ohio University’s College of Fine Arts, Theater Division. Other Theatre: Yasha in The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov, Jason in Only Good Things Happen At The Fair by Neal Adelman, Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare, and Davis in Really Really by Paul Downs Colaizzo at Ohio University. Additional Credits: He has spent the last few years focusing on new work, spending a great deal of time working with the Ohio University M.F.A. playwriting candidates as a participant in the Seabury Quinn, Jr. Playwrights’ Festival.

Anne-Marie Trabolsi (Melto Man and Lady Mantis) At Actors Theatre: Fifth Third Bank’s A Christmas Carol and Golden. Regional Theatre: Footloose, Cabaret, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and Gypsy. Other Theatre: Spring Awakening, Urinetown, Into the Woods, Lovers and Players (world premiere), as well as the Mobb Line Improv Troupe. Additional Credits: Trabolsi is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, with a B.F.A. in Performing Arts. Additionally, she competed in the College Improv Tournament, making nationals twice, and was a region IV Irene Ryan finalist.

Alice Wu (Home Invasion and Midsummer’s Eve) At Actors Theatre: every every minute. Other Theatre: Lysistrata in Lysistrata, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet and Storyteller in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson at North Dakota State University. Additional Credits: Alice received her B.F.A. at North Dakota State University in the spring of 2016, where she also served as treasurer for the student-run Newfangled Theatre Co. PLAYWRIGHTS Carrie Barrett’s (Gutted) plays have been produced or developed at the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab, PLAY LA Workshop, Skylight Theatre Company, Sideshow Theatre, Kitchen Dog Theater, and Gotham Stage Company, among others. Her improv and sketch comedy has been produced all over the world and Internet, most notably at iO Theaters, The Second City Unhinged, Hollywood Improv, SketchMelt by Nerdist, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Piccolo Spoleto Festival and Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival. Iris Dauterman (Love Languages) holds an M.F.A. in Playwriting from Indiana University, and a B.A. in Drama from Bennington College. Her plays Sing to Me Now and Trigger Warning have been seen as part of Indiana University’s At First Sight Festival of New Plays. Sing to Me Now also received a reading by Animus Theatre Company in Central Park. Her plays The Waypoint and You Can Have Me were both selected to receive staged readings at the Berkshire Fringe Festival. The Waypoint was produced by Bazaar Productions at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Dauterman is an adjunct instructor in Playwriting at Earlham College and lives in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Emily Feldman (Midsummer’s Eve) is a former literary intern at Actors Theatre. Her short plays Important People and Estate Planning, as well as New Play Project commissions every every minute and The Diamond Trade, have been performed by the Professional Training Company. Feldman’s work has been developed by The Alliance Theatre, Colt Coeur and the Magic Theatre. She’s been an artist-in-residence at SPACE on Ryder Farm and The Atlantic Center for the Arts, a Tennessee Williams Scholar at the Sewanee Writers Conference, and a Core Apprentice at the Playwrights’ Center. Feldman received a Kilroys’ List honorable mention, is a three-time Heideman Award finalist, and is currently a Jerome Fellow at the Playwrights’ Center. She recently completed her M.F.A. in Playwriting at University of California, San Diego and holds a B.A. from Middlebury College.

Idris Goodwin (#Matter) is a playwright, spoken word performer and essayist. His play How We Got On was developed at the O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, premiered at Actors Theatre (2012 Humana Festival), and is being produced at theatres across the country. Other plays include This Is Modern Art (co-written with Kevin Coval), And In This Corner: Cassius Clay and Bars and Measures. His work has been produced and developed with Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The Kennedy Center, The Ground Floor at Berkeley Rep, La Jolla Playhouse, The Lark Play Development Center, the Playwrights’ Center and The New Harmony Project. These Are The Breaks (Write Bloody, 2011), his debut collection of essays and poetry, was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. He has performed on HBO, The Discovery Channel, Sesame Street and National Public Radio. Goodwin teaches performance writing and hip hop aesthetics at Colorado College. Biomedical Engineering Department, The Assembly, Live Girls!, and Class Act. Knight has been in residence at La Napoule Art Foundation, Ucross, Yaddo and MacDowell. Knight received her B.A. from Brown University; her M.A. in Performance Studies from New York University; and her M.F.A. in Playwriting from University of California, San Diego. She was a Page 73 Playwriting Fellow (2007) and a Shank Playwriting Fellow at the Vineyard Theatre (2011-2012). Knight is an alumna of Ensemble Studio Theatre’s Youngblood, TerraNOVA Groundbreakers, Page 73’s Interstate 73, and The Civilians’ R&D Group, and she is a member of the New Georges JAM. Lexy Leuszler (Seep) is a director, teaching artist, native Kansan, and the Education Associate at Actors Theatre. She serves as the literary manager for the New Voices Young Playwrights Contest as well as a teaching artist for the New Voices Young Playwrights Residency Program. Her plays have won the Grinnell Barbara Clark Playwriting Contest and have been recognized in Actors Theatre’s Small Starving Artist Contest, and she is a recipient of the Ruby Barton Writing Fellowship. From 2013 to 2015, Leuszler served as Associate Director of Theatremakers, a new play training intensive at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. She has directed and developed new work at Actors Theatre of Louisville, Curious Theatre, the Chicago and Minneapolis Fringe Festivals, and the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. Upcoming projects include serving as dramaturg for Hansol Jung’s play, Still Murky.

Eric Pfeffinger (Melto Man and Lady Mantis) is making his sixth appearance at Actors Theatre of Louisville, his work having previously been presented as part of The Tens in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2014 and 2016. Pfeffinger’s work has also been produced by Geva Theatre Center, InterAct Theatre Company, the Phoenix Theatre and Imagination Stage. His other plays have been presented or developed at PlayPenn, The Lark’s Playwrights’ Week, Write Now, Chicago Dramatists, and the Page 73 Summer Residency. In February, his play Human Error will be included as part of the Colorado New Play Summit.

Lila Rachel Becker (#Matter) is a New York and D.C.-based director. At Actors Theatre: Director of Golden and Directing Assistant for Fifth Third Bank’s A Christmas Carol, Macbeth and The 39 Steps. Other Theatre: Becker recently directed Bermuda Blue at the Samuel French Off-Off-Broadway Short Play Festival. She has developed work with Actors Theatre of Louisville, Source Festival, the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Portland Stage Company, Folger Theatre, The Flea Theater and UglyRhino Productions. She has assisted directors Les Waters at Actors Theatre of Louisville, Michael John Garcés and Shana Cooper at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, and Tyne Rafaeli on the first national tour of The Bridges of Madison County, among others. Victoria Masteller (Directing Assistant, Gutted) is a recent graduate of Emerson College with a B.A. in Theatre Education. She was a Creative Producer at ArtsEmerson under P. Carl while a work-study student at HowlRound. As a Development/Education intern

at Lyric Stage Company, Masteller assisted in classrooms and with audience development work. She was the 2016 Emerson College International Chair for Undergraduate Orientation. She concentrated her extracurricular activities on dramaturging and directing new work, and social activism. Masteller was a teacher with Jumpstart! and Jewish Vocational Services’ refugee section. She hails from outside Philadelphia, where she has performed at the Walnut Street Theatre.

John Rooney (Seep) is the Associate Director of the Professional Training Company. At Actors Theatre: Director of Rules of Comedy in The Ten-Minute Plays (2015 Humana Festival), You Are Trying My Patience and The Anthropology Section in The Tens. Associate Director of Wondrous Strange, Assistant Director of The Glory of the World, The Christians and The Edge of Our Bodies. His play The Q&A was produced in The Tens in 2015. He is also a proud alumnus of Actors Theatre’s Professional Training Company. Regional Theatre: Associate Director of The Christians at Playwrights Horizons, Assistant Director of Teddy Ferrara at the Goodman Theatre, and script supervisor for numerous shows at Steppenwolf Theatre, including The Qualms, Head of Passes, The March and Three Sisters. He has worked as a director and producer at a number of Chicago theatres, including About Face Theatre, American Theater Company, Collaboraction and Walkabout. Elliott Talkington (Directing Assistant, Midsummer’s Eve) is a native of Owensboro, Kentucky. He is a recent graduate of Western Kentucky University, with a B.A. in Theatre and English. During his time at WKU, Talkington wrote three fully produced original plays, including a children’s play, Milo’s Intergalactic Circus, and a solo performance piece, Best Man. He also directed a children’s production of The Emperor’s New Clothes, which toured to over 15 elementary schools throughout Kentucky. For that same show, Talkington developed and taught post-show workshops. He also taught and developed curricula for Theatre in Diversion programs for at-risk youth, in collaboration with WKU’s Theatre and Sociology departments and the Warren County Juvenile Court. Talkington has performance and stage management experience at companies all over Kentucky and is a rotating cast member of The Dinner Detective. As a devoted partner in outreach, he is always looking for new opportunities to bring theatre to the community.

Krissy Vanderwarker (Home Invasion and Midsummer’s Eve) is a freelance director and the Co-Artistic Director of Dog & Pony Theatre Company. Sammy Zeisel (Love Languages) is a director, writer and actor. At Actors Theatre: As a Directing Apprentice, he has directed Gratuitous Nudity...Bad Broccoli, five Solo Mios, and a reading of a new play entitled Clearing. He was the Directing Assistant for Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula and is assisting on the upcoming Actors Theatre production of Circle Mirror Transformation. Other Theatre: Zeisel has worked as a director and actor at Lookingglass Theatre, Woolly Mammoth Theatre, Denver Center for the Performing Arts and Sideshow Theatre, and has worked with some of his favorite artists, including Marti Lyons, Rajiv Joseph and Will Eno. Additional Credits: He graduated from Northwestern University in 2014, where he received a degree in Theatre and served as Artistic Director of WAVE Productions. DESIGNERS Hannah Allgeier (Scenic Designer) graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Theatre and a minor in Visual Studies. At Western Kentucky University, she worked as a master carpenter, paint charge and scenic designer. Since graduating, Allgeier has worked as the assistant scenic designer for Gone Astray and scenic designer for I Bet on the Nag at the Bunbury Theatre. She also worked as the scenic charge for Qualities of Starlight and scenic designer for River City at Theatre [502].

Natasha Bray (Lighting Designer) has completed previous internships with the Utah Festival Opera and Bucks County Playhouse. She has worked on Man of

La Mancha, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and La Boheme at the Utah Festival of Opera and Musical Theatre; Steel Magnolias, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, and The Divine Sister at Bucks County Playhouse. Some of her favorite credits include lighting crew for Steel Magnolias and Measure for Measure, and lighting design for Time Stands Still at Hendrix College and several dance concerts. Bray holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts with a minor in Anthropology from Hendrix College. Maggie McGrann (Costume Designer) is in her third season at Actors Theatre of Louisville. She is also a freelance costume designer who has worked primarily with non-profit, independent theatres. Interests include American short fiction, beer and origami. At Actors Theatre: Co-Costume Designer for the New Voices Young Playwrights Festival (2016) and The Tens (2016), Costume Designer for Table for One in Solo Mio Round 3 (2015), Rulers of All Worlds, and the Brothers in a Riot workshop. Other Theatre: River City at Theatre [502]; The Altruists, Speech & Debate and Exquisite Corpse: a devised theatre piece at TheatreLAB; The Boy in the Bathroom at Firehouse Theatre; KC @ Bat, Macbeth, The Grunch and All Shook Up at School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community; The Waiting Room and The Shape of Things at University of Richmond; and half: a divorce farce at the New York International Fringe Festival.

Adrienne Nixon (Costume Designer) is thrilled to be working on The Tens for a second year. Nixon joined Actors Theatre in 2014 as a Costume Construction Journeyman and made the switch to Costume Design Assistant last year. At Actors Theatre: Nixon most recently assisted on Fifth Third Bank’s A Christmas Carol, Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula and Macbeth. Other Theatre:

She was the designer for several productions at Western Kentucky University, including Curtains, Dead Man’s Cell Phone and Endgame. Additional Credits: Nixon received her B.F.A. in Theatre Design & Technology, with a concentration in Costume Design, from Western Kentucky University. Her costume construction work has been seen in productions of Love’s Labour’s Lost, Richard II, Mother Courage and Her Children, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare at Shakespeare & Company. Rachel Regan (Sound Designer) received her B.F.A. in Sound Design from The Theatre School at DePaul University in 2015. Design credits include A Song for Coretta and #Love Stories with Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre, and To Kill a Mockingbird and Two Gentlemen of Verona with Oak Park Theatre Festival. Regan has assisted on shows with companies including The Ruffians and Rivendell Theatre Ensemble. She has served as an audio engineer at Court Theatre, Goodman Theatre, Lookingglass Theatre, and The House Theatre of Chicago. PRODUCTION Brad Baute (Props Master) is in his third season as General Props Artisan at Actors Theatre. He brings skill and a unique perspective from his past experiences in other arts, production, building, and design endeavors. At Actors Theatre: Baute has served as Props Artisan on countless productions, including The 39 Steps, Peter and the Starcatcher, 4000 Miles, Luna Gale, Seven Guitars, The Brothers Size and Tribes, and is beginning work on his third Humana Festival. Baute has also served as Props Master for several productions of The Tens and the New Voices Young Playwrights Festival. Hannah Cava (Production Manager)

is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. She recently graduated magna cum laude from the University of Evansville with a B.S. in Stage Management and a minor in Business Administration. At Actors Theatre: Cava has served as the Production Manager for Golden; Gratuitous Nudity…Bad Broccoli; every every minute; Solo Mio Rounds 1, 2, and 3 and various other Apprentice projects. She was also the Child Talent Guardian for Macbeth, with 18 kids in her charge. Cava has recently found herself working in the world of film, on promotional projects and on a new web series, Book It! Additional Credits: Cava has spent two summers interning in stage management at the New Harmony Project, under the direction of Carrie Preston and Lori Wolter Hudson.

Michael Donnay (Assistant Stage Manager) is from Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. At Actors Theatre: Fifth Third Bank’s A Christmas Carol, Golden, Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula, Macbeth, every every minute and Solo Mio Rounds 2 and 3. Other Theatre: Cyrano de Bergerac at Montana Shakespeare; War with the Newts, Killer Joe and Don’t Drink the Water at Georgetown University; Bert at Trinity College, Dublin. Additional Credits: Donnay is a recent graduate of Georgetown University with an A.B. in history, classics, and theatre and performance studies.

Liv Joyce (Scenic Charge) is in her first year at Actors Theatre as the Scenic Artist. She comes from Huntington Theatre Company in Boston and works summers at the Utah Shakespeare Festival.  Joyce loves working on new shows and is thrilled to be a part of The Tens.

Matthew Krell (Technical Director) At Actors Theatre: Krell has worked on more than 360 performances of Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula, as well as The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity, The Whipping Man, Maple and Vine, Barefoot in the Park and The Cherry Sisters Revisited. Regional Theatre: Macbeth, WAIT!, and Up (The Man in the Flying Chair) at Perseverance Theatre. Other Theatre: Krell served as the Production Manager for the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival and Master Electrician for The Taming of the Shrew at Kentucky Shakespeare. Additional Credits: Krell received his B.A. from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Sidney Martin (Props Master) At Actors Theatre: Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula and Macbeth. Other Theatre: A Christmas Story and High Society at Walnut Street Theatre; And Then There Were None and Love’s Labour’s Lost at Great Lakes Theater; Il Trittico and La Boheme at Utah Festival Opera; My Fair Lady and Call Me Madame at The Ohio Light Opera; and Scapin and The Golden Age at The College of Wooster. Additional Credits: Martin received her B.F.A. from The College of Wooster. Emily Pathman (Stage Manager) is originally from San Francisco, California. At Actors Theatre: Pathman has worked on Fifth Third Bank’s A Christmas Carol, Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula, every every minute and The 39 Steps. Additional Credits: Pathman recently graduated from Emerson College with a B.F.A. in Stage and Production Management. She spent the last three summers working at the Contemporary American Theater Festival and has served as child wrangler for Boston Ballet’s annual production of The Nutcracker and American Repertory Theatre’s Waitress.

Katherine Thesing (Assistant Stage Manager) is originally from Berea, Kentucky. At Actors Theatre: Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill, Fifth Third Bank’s A Christmas Carol, Golden, Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula, Macbeth and Gratuitous Nudity…Bad Broccoli. Additional Credits: Thesing worked for three summers at Kentucky Shakespeare Festival, and graduated from Bellarmine University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. DRAMATURGS Bryan Howard (Home Invasion, Love Languages and Melto Man and Lady Mantis) is a Dramaturgy and Literary Management Apprentice from Howell, New Jersey. His Actors Theatre credits include serving as dramaturg on A. Rey Pamatmat’s new one-act play, Gratuitous Nudity…Bad Broccoli, and nine Solo Mios. He was also the assistant dramaturg on Macbeth and is currently assisting on Circle Mirror Transformation. Howard holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts and English from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has worked at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center as an assistant dramaturg and the Script Coordinator. Jessica Reese (Seep) is in her second season as the Literary Associate at Actors Theatre, where her dramaturgy credits include The 39 Steps, Wondrous Strange and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Prior to arriving in Louisville, she was a Chicago-based freelance dramaturg; Chicago credits include Matawan and Heist Play with The Ruckus, and Mnemonic and The Skriker with Red Tape Theatre. Reese is a proud alumna of Davidson College and Actors Theatre’s Professional Training Company (2010–2011).

Paige Vehlewald (#Matter, Gutted and Midsummer’s Eve) is a Dramaturgy and Literary Management Apprentice with the Professional Training Company. Her Actors Theatre credits include serving as dramaturg on Golden, a new one-act play by Cory Hinkle, and nine Solo Mios. She has also assisted on Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill as part of the Brown-Forman Series. Vehlewald hails from Bakersfield, California and holds a B.A. from UC Berkeley as well as an M.A. from the National University of Ireland, Galway.

ABOUT THE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING COMPANY

The Professional Training Company (formerly the Apprentice/Intern Company) is one of the cornerstones of Actors Theatre’s commitment to education.  A diverse company of 38 young theatre professionals participate in a full-immersion program focused on practical, experiential training designed to ease the transition into a professional career.

Now in its 45th year, and functioning as a theatre company with its own season focusing entirely on new work, the Professional Training Company is a national leader in alternative theatre training. Its alumni are working on staff and on stage in leading theatres across the country, including Playwrights Horizons, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Goodman Theatre, Victory Gardens Theater, the Guthrie Theater, Hartford Stage, Geva Theatre Center, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, and Denver Center for the Performing Arts, and are often invited back home to Actors Theatre. Michael Legg (Director, Professional Training Company) is in his tenth season at Actors Theatre of Louisville, where he’s directed world premieres of plays by Emily Feldman, A. Rey Pamatmat, Laura Jacqmin, Dan Dietz, Kyle John Schmidt, Marco Ramirez, Carmen Herlihy, Jennifer Haley and Allison Moore, among others. Legg serves as a guest artist at several universities, including the University of Idaho, Ohio University and Texas Tech University. He also teaches for and works extensively with the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival and serves as the Artistic Director of the WildWind Performance Lab in Texas, where he’s developed new plays by Brian Quijada, Eva Suter, Brian Bauman, Martyna Majok, Basil Kreimendahl and Joshua Conkel, among others. Legg holds an M.F.A. in acting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.
