Letter from the President of the Board of Directors

Dear Friends and Supporters of The Parenting Network, The Parenting Network has been providing services to parents, families and children in our community for over 39 years. Our mission has been consistent and simple - to strengthen parenting and prevent child abuse. While that mission is simple, it is absolutely critical.

It is critical because:

Right now, there is a child who is not safe in their own home.

Right now, there is a parent who doesn’t know where to turn as their anger and frustration builds.

Right now, there is a parent who has repeated the cycle of abuse, ashamed that they have done the thing which they swore they would never do.

Right now, thanks to your support, the programs and services The Parenting Network offers can and do make a difference. Through community education, a 24 hour helpline and

in-home intervention services, we have been able to serve over 8,000 people to help parents and families stop the cycle of abuse and learn new ways to parent.

As you read through our Annual Report, I want you to remember how important and critical your support is. We must work together to keep children safe and to support parents and families. We are grateful for all that you do,

Duplicated Callers First Time Callers

H E L P L I N E

While there were fewer first time callers in 2015,

callers’ needs have intensified, requiring more follow up

and help navigating family assistance systems.

I’m thrilled when I think back on 2015!

The lives of parents and children we were

able to serve and enrich.

The generous gifting of time and skill from

volunteers who love helping others.

The solid support of foundations and

corporations who believe in what we do.

The growth all around me— it’s nothing

short of exciting!

Thank you!

2016, Are you ready? We are!
