Today’s Worship Plan

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 “...Whoever sows sparingly will also reap also sparingly and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”… Please notice the offering box in the entranceway; where we cheerfully place our offerings in the collection box. Your contributions to God help us preach the Gospel here in Cedar Key, around the world and carry out works of benevolence to the glory of Christ our Lord.

Welcome Visitors and Members! We hope that your experience today will add something meaningful to your life in Christ Jesus. If you are new to the area and would like more information about this church, let us know. If you are just visiting our island community, then we hope to see you again.

Would you like to confess your faith in Jesus Christ and repent of your sins today? Come forward during the last song and we will assist you in obeying Christ as Lord – or let us know your desire some other time. We can arrange a time for your baptism into Christ. If you are a Christian and wandered away from home with the Lord, you may make your desire known and we will pray for God to forgive your sins, and fully restore you to Jesus Christ and joyful fellowship with other Christians.

Share the Good News! Free Bible studies and much more are available at our congregation’s web site Cedar Key Church of Christ. We also have the church’s weekly Bulletin on

our web site.

Bible question: How did Jesus describe the way to heaven in Matthew 7? Grace Greater Than All My Sins

For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. (Romans 5:10 ESV)

Many people refer to this Lord’s Day as Palm Sunday. Jesus rode triumphantly into Jerusalem on the Sunday before His resurrection. (Mark 11:9) (Isaiah 53:9, Hebrews 4:15, 2 Corinthians 5:21) Have you ever asked yourself (or God); “Why did Jesus have to die for my sins”? Jesus knows up close and personal about our continuous struggle against sin. The sinless Jesus is the only one worthy to be a substitute for my sins.

(Genesis 3:3, Romans 6:23) The penalty for sin is death – unless someone would dare to die in my place! Who would do such a thing?

(Leviticus 17:11, John 1:29) Death is the opposite of life. God created our first ancestors with the ability to live eternally. Life is in blood – therefore the only acceptable for sin is blood.

(Hebrews 9:26-28, John 3:16-17) The only possible way to remove sin from off our record is for God’s son to die so that we do not have to be eternally dead (separated from God). (Romans 12:12-13) We never have to look very far to find opportunities to be good and faithful stewards over what God blesses us with in a material and spiritual sense. Our homes or palaces also belong to God and everyone has an opportunity for joyful service. (1 Peter 2:24) Jesus Christ bore our sins in his body of flesh that was crucified on the cross. (Ephesians 1:3-7) The all-powerful love of God the Father redeemed us by the blood that Christ shed on the cross! God’s lavishly poured out His amazing grace at the cross! What does that mean to you today? Do we yawn and continue going the same hopeless way of destruction.

(1 John 1:6-9) Perhaps it is also your experience that we wonder if God could possible just wipe away all my sins. This is the plain message that the Holy Spirit inspired John to write! Remember dear friends there are only two ways: Saved or Lost. On this day we are either a Believer of an Unbeliever. Life or Death. Choose LIFE! DB
