So he didn’t bring home a fish that day and he never did see his dream come true of catching his prize fish. Maybe you’re starting to wonder how this story supports my opinion that he is a hero. I never did say that he would be considered a hero to you, but he is a hero to me. He isn’t a hero because he is the strongest, or the greatest, or the smartest. He’s a hero because of what he did when he came home. When he returned home from losing his prize fish, he smiled at me and asked me to go fishing with him the next day. That, my friend, is why he is a hero. Despite being “unlucky” and losing his prize fish, he was going to keep fishing. No matter how times he had a good reason to be too discouraged to try again, he never gave up. He fished day after day, and never once gave up. Now you see why my dear old man is the greatest hero I have, and ever will, know.
