No matter how these events have hurt you, and we have all been wounded in some way, we ask you to give your friends, your Kingdom and the Dream a second chance. This is an opportunity for unity - for all of us to heal together, to think back

on the bonds that hold us together, and to remember the future

we wish to build. To thisend, Her Excellency

and I will be avail-able to anyone

who needs totalk to help

process thedifficult times

our Kingdomis facing. We

urge you toremember why this

Society was createdand help rebuild the

Dream for all of us. Calafiahas seen troubled times before,

and we have always managed to overcome and grow stronger for it. We have faith that this time will be no different, and that we will be able to band together, help each other heal, and ensure that this Dream of our does not fade away.

In Service to you,Guy Rand and Muirrenn

Unto the Barony of Calafia,Events of the last months have shattered this

Kingdom, the Society, and even the Dream for many of us. Our world has become divided by venomous hate and ignoble behavior. It is devastating to see this in our hobbies and escapes, especially one that strives toward something better. It is this hope that brings us to-gether. Hope that we can learn about and re-create cul-tures fromthe past. Hope that we can remember the courtesy and pageantry of a by-gone age. Hope that we can take lessons from our history and build a future free of those mistakes.

When I started in the Society, I was quickly taught two lessons. The first lesson was inclusion. Some many of us have been marginalized or derided in the modern world and were thus drawn to this group that welcomes all and strives to foster a culture of Chivalry. Sadly, as the modern world has grown more interconnected and diverse, our Society has not necessarily followed suit as much as we might hope.

However, that just brings me to my second lesson, that of the second chance. We have all made mistakes in the modern world, and most of us have in the Society as well. Sometimes these errors are minor, and sometimes they are devastating. Yet, within the Dream, we would like to think that there is always an opportunity for redemption - a chance to correct our errors and to re-forge our bonds of friendship and trust. It is this second lesson that we ask you all to remember in the days and weeks to come.

Greetings!
