Who are we? Northwest Datsun Enthusiasts (NWDE—pronounced
‘nude’) is an organization dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment
of all Datsun/Nissan vehicles. We meet monthly (except December), and
try to schedule automotive/social activities on a monthly basis (see Cal-
endar of Upcoming events). We are members of the Western Washing-
ton Sports Car Council (WWSCC). NWDE is not affiliated with Nissan
Motor Company, Ltd.

Discuss Annual Trophy Awards — hi folks, time to start putting
forth as to why you or your Datsun should win one of our beautiful club trophies.
Remember, the hard luck award is about your vehicles, not your personal life. Let's
start the stories!
Our friend and long time NWDE member Roger Sawyer returned home last
month from many weeks in hospital for treatment of cancer. He has visiting hos-
pice care and his daughter and friend are helping to care for him. NWDE has sent
Roger a 240Z and Datsun themed cookie flower arrangement and card wishing
him a quick recovery.
Membership Dues for 2016 are due. Thank you to those members that
have already renewed. No price increase since 1992!
Pete has retired his trusty Concorde. Will the Datsun Roadster be his daily driv-
er now?

OFFICER ELECTIONS FOR 2016. The slate of nominees was approved
unanimously. The election results are:
President Antonio Casila
Vice-president Ted Heaton
Secretary Gordon Glasgow
Treasurer Steve Carter (NEW!)
NEW MEETING LOCATION DISCUSSION
Yankee Grill is becoming more crowded and is inconvenient for northend
members. One option to be explored is something in Factoria. Another op-
tion is to alternate meetings between north end and south end (like Round
Table in Overlake and Round Table in Renton ). Pete will map out the loca-
tions of our current members to help give us guidance.
Ted and Antonio will research places to meet
ANNUAL PARTY
Will be held at Dave Firestone’s place again (unless his schedule interferes –
Pete and Debbie’s home will be the backup)
Date has been set for Saturday, January 30
GENERAL BUSINESS
We need to review who has Admin privileges on our Facebook page and do
any necessary cleanup. Gordon will do this.
Ted will look into taking over the NWDELetter from Dave Gonzales, who
has done an amazing job considering he’s in Hawaii.
Introductions were done and various project updates were given.

When: Second Sunday of each month (except December)

game). Folks usually arrive half-hour earlier to gather & gawk at
vehicles, then order pizza.
