The Lord spent a high density of time with His disciples in those three years. He taught them not only with His words, but also with His life. And that took time. Quality time is absolutely essential for meaningful relationships. And that means being intentional in our relationships. Though our time is limited due to work and things at home, strong relationships with the brethren is a must. We should desire strong relationships. We should want quality as well as quantity time. We should desire to be used by the Lord to encourage our brothers and sisters. Thus, we should strive to have our conversations go above the superficial level. We need to set our minds on heavenly things together in these conversations. This heavenly mindedness means thinking about the things of God, praying together, and studying Gods truth together. We have been saved not only unto Christ to have a relationship with Him but also to one another. And the way we approach our relationships with brothers and sisters in Christ speaks to how seriously we believe that truth. We must remember that time well spent with others is never wasted time. Relational time is productive time to which we are called as the Body of Christ. As we seek to live meaningfully with others in both quantity and quality of time, we can trust that the Lord will work. He is in the midst of our relationships. We cannot always see the fruit of that spent time, but we can trust the Spirit is working and those relationships are being edified. Lets be intentional in spending quality time with one another. The church will grow in ways unmeasurable.

...A note from Rev. Milliken

John 3:22 “After this, Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them.” It is not only informative, but also instructive that the Lord Jesus spent three years with the disciples before His crucifixion.

This heavenly mindedness means thinking about the things of God, praying together, and studying God’s truth together.

Let’s be intentional in spending quality time with one another. The church will grow in ways unmeasurable.

Activities of Women in the Church

The Circle will be starting a new study in March. It is ‘Twelve Unlikely Heroes” by John MacArthur. We will be learning about 12 people that are not some of the common people in the Bible. What do you know about Jonathan or Onesimus? Everyone of these people were completely different, and God used them for his glory. God uses each of us in the same ways. Each of us has a talent that we should be using for God’s glory! Please join us on the second Tuesday of the month at 10am for a time of study, prayer, and fellowship.

Praying for our Nation…

Every Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m., a group of prayer warriors meets in the sanctuary for the sole purpose of praying for our nation. If you cannot attend, please join us in prayer from your home or office during that time as we follow the command to pray for all those in authority.

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

Pennies for Missions

Just a reminder that the WIC is still

collecting pennies for our missionaries! If you have any spare change that you’ve been looking to get rid of, feel free to drop it in the container in the Foyer or

in the Sunday School Rooms. The money will be used to help the missionaries that Grace

Presbyterian Church supports..

Finally, after four months of insurance, quotes and much discussion we have our new awning!!! This was done by Acadiana Gutter & Patio and did an excellent job!! Thanks to the Deacons and Elders for making a great decision. Grace Presbyterian Church will use this for many more years to come.

Grace Notes

95th Anniversary of Grace Presbyterian Church

On Sunday, March 28th, Grace Presbyterian Church will celebrate its 95th Anniversary. Following the

morning worship service, we will have a covered dish luncheon in the Activities Building.

We look forward to this day of worship and fellowship, as we join to celebrate the Lord’s

faithfulness to His church. “...But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, that there may be no di-vision in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice to-gether. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.”

—1 Corinthians 12:24-27

BY GRACE

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
