Another summer is here, and that means another SummerTime at Holy Nativity! Our Wednesday services and meals take on a more casual feel and time. Worship begins at 6:00pm with one of the daily office services from around the Anglican communion. A themed pot-luck dinner follows. The kids have supervised play time outside while the adults enjoy fellowship in the parish hall. We usually wrap up around 9:00pm. Watch the weekly bulletins and
What's Happenings for the pot luck theme of the week so you'll know what food item to bring. The first SummerTime is Wednesday, June 7th, and the dinner is our traditional spaghetti kick-off meal. Bring cooked hamburger meat and spaghetti sauce (Ragu counts!). Noodles, salad, bread, and drinks are provided. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help with dinner prep or clean-up, please contact Mike Harding at 774-1955 or [email protected].

Area Wide Ultreya July 23, 2017 at Holy Nativity
What is An Ultreya? Ultreya is an on-going, follow-up program for people who have made their three day Cursillo, linking them together in a Christian community that helps them support one another in their attempts to remain Christ-centered. Apostolic enthusiasm is sustained as participants share their lives in Christ and are inspired by the lives of others in the areas of faith, holiness, and evangeli-zation. Ultreya provides the continued support to make the Cursillo experience a lifetime one.

When the children start talking about going to Shell Island for church,
we know that summer is here. Although we put 9:15 Sunday School on
hold for the summer, Children’s Church is unchanged. Our Wednesday
evening gatherings continue but with the service time moved from 5:30
to 6:00 for SummerTime. We are not offering Godly Play every week
but Liz Ward says she is prepared to teach any time as needed. I am
hoping we can include some adults along with the children for a few les-
sons. It is fascinating to watch the children’s responses as they wonder
about spiritual questions from the lesson. SummerTime Wednesdays are
great for fun, food, and fellowship…and also for wondering about God
and our relationship with him and with each other.
Save the date for a “Parents’ Night In” on
Saturday, July 15th!
Parents are welcome to enjoy a social gathering in Battin Hall while your children enjoy super-vised activities. If you are inter-ested in helping with this event, please contact Holly Melzer at [email protected] or Anna Eberhard at [email protected].
