Children’s Ministry August 2019 By Beverly McDaniel
It’s getting closer…the return to our new and improved Kids’ Kingdom is imminent. This “renovation” has offered an opportunity to evaluate optimum use of space considering our mission and purposes. Certainly we want the best possible facilities for our children.
Some of our spaces have been reworked according to obvious needs and also in response to the recommendations of the children. A wall has been removed between two rooms to
create a new room for Children’s Church, Godly Play, and other programs. The nursery with its little cribs and bathroom will remain in its place. Club 45 (fourth and fifth grad-ers) will have their own room upstairs in the two-story building. Their former room will be-
come a workroom to enable planning, scheduling, lesson prep, etc. and with a copy ma-chine at the church. With Rally Day and the Blessing of the Backpacks coming on August 18th, we want to
have everything for Children’s Ministry moved out of Battin Hall back into Kid’s Kingdom and looking nice for our guests – and for us. This will be a big, but happy, undertaking.
Knowing that many of you will volunteer to help, and knowing too that you will make it fun, we will get the word to you when the rooms are ready for us. Speaking of volunteers, we will need more teachers and helpers for Children’s Church
on Sundays and for Wonderful Wednesdays when we resume our fall programs. Please let me know what your interests are. At one of our recent meetings, we discussed how blessed we are with great moms, and also with really great dads. What wonderful exam-
ples for our children to have their families loving and serving God in our church! Thanks Be to God.
