AN EXAMPLELockerbie Central UMC a historic community doing church in a new way. We are re-imagining what is means to be church.  Our home is in a beautiful historic building built by the church in the late 1800s that we want lots of people to enjoy.  To make this possible, we created Earth House Collective in partnership with the community as a way to extend radical hospitality in downtown Indianapolis.  Over the past three years Earth House has grown into one of the best places in Indy to experience art, music, culture, healthy food, a great cup of fair trade coffee, and a community in action.  All this is happening in a place of worship and spiritual growth.

AN EXAMPLENew Day Communities are satellite congregations anchored in United Methodist churches. The lead teams are bi-vocational and do not receive any compensation for their pastoral service to New Day, which helps maximize missional outreach and minimize our internal costs. We are a pioneering ministry affirmed by the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church, the Alaska Missionary Conference and a number of local congregations and agencies.
