DECEMBER 30, 2015 THE LINK ON LETTER
St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center Sister Carol Weber worked with Sister Judy Blake and the parishioners of St. Luke Catholic Church doing street ministry in Flint. Their street ministry set up a flea market, taking used clothing and meals to those in need and during that time, heard many stories of plight of the women and children in the City of Flint. The questions
began to form, “What can we do for these women to make their lives less desperate?”
!Through these experiences, they found that their mission was to help at-risk women and the St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center was created.

“Stitching Lives
Together”
The St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center provides a safe environment for survivors of abuse and poverty. They give these individuals the access to learn and further their education with the help of their tutoring volunteers, along with teaching basic life skills to those who need it, encouraging them along the way and building their self-esteem, so that one day they become independent.
