Since 2006, the Lewis Family Playhouse has been an unforgettable destination for local quality entertainment, a pride of Rancho Cucamonga and a place where families can experience and honor the arts. Join us as we commemorate 10 amazing years of impeccable performances, lasting memories, and continue the tradition into the next decade! Ripped from the pages of Mo Willems's award-winning children's books, this vaudevillian romp will have audiences dancing in their seats! Gerald, the Elephant, and his best friend Piggie have a full day of adventures and discover what it's like to be in a play. It's a heartwarming and hilarious introduction to theatre for our youngest audience members (ages 4+)! Gather your country-loving fans and get ready for a powerful live show from Lonestar, October 30, 2015! This multi-platinum country music quartet celebrates 20 years of major success with numerous country hits such as, You're Coming' Home, Amazed, and I'm Already There. Acquiring notable mainstream acclaim, this talented music outfit is sure to thrill music fans of all genres with their knockout concert! The World Famous Popovich Comedy Pet Theater is a family-oriented blend of the unique comedy and juggling skills of Gregory Popovich, and the extraordinary talents of his rescue animals. Audiences will be delighted to see this extravaganza of European-style clowns, amazing juggling, and balancing acts, and of course, very talented performing pets on November 1, 2015. It's a show that both adults and kids of all ages enjoy! The popular stars of Who's Line Is It Anyway? bring an evening of extraordinary improv comedy with big belly laughs in Colin Mochrie & Brad Sherwood: Two Man Group, November 14, 2015. Using their quick wit, Colin and Brad take contributions from the audience to create hilarious outcomes. Throughout the evening, the show becomes truly interactive as audience members are called to the stage to participate in the fun. ON THE AIR - A holiday tribute to Bob Hope and Radio Stars of the 1940s is presented as a vintage NBC radio broadcast complete with a staff announcer (sidekick) and a live performance on stage by the All Star Big Band, November 15, 2015. This show is a perfect way to kick off the holiday season including a unique version of Twas the Night Before Christmas offering great fun for all. After 10 albums, and nearly 3,000 live shows, Gaelic Storm, the chart-topping, multi-national Celtic band is dishing up a hearty serving of full Irish entertainment in a special one-night only performance, November 19, 2015. Gaelic Storm has straddled the line between tradition and innovation for nearly two decades, infusing traditional Celtic music with modern influences, and updating the genre for a new generation of fans. Famed guitarist, Peter White delivers an all-star lineup in A Peter White Christmas featuring smooth jazz trumpet player, Rick Braun and Grammy nominated saxophonist and vocalist, Mindi Abair, November 21, 2015. Experience Southern California's most spectacular holiday production of Inland Pacific Ballet's, The Nutcracker, December 18-20, 2015. Adults and children will enjoy the story of a young girl named Clara who receives a magical nutcracker doll on Christmas Eve, and sets out on a wondrous journey with battling mice, dancing snowflakes, waltzing flowers, and the delightful Sugar Plum Fairy. Grammy Award-winning artist and former bassist/singer/songwriter for the legendary rock group Chicago, Peter Cetera takes the stage in an incredible performance, January 8, 2016. In a musical landscape dominated by men, Grammy nominated Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles has blazed the trail for female mariachi musicians with sensitivity, beauty, warmth, and a vivacious spirit. John Mills II, Don Mills Jr., and Elmer Hopper of The Mills Brothers continue the legacy that has not stopped since 1910 in The Mills Brothers with the All Star Big Band, January 15, 2016. As the longest, continually-performing familial signing group in American musical history, The Mills Brothers have charted hits in every decade with such favorites including Paper Doll, Cab Driver, Tiger Rag, and countless others. Don't miss our season closer in an amazing night full of swing, jazz, and big band orchestra! In addition to the many public performances, the Lewis Family Playhouse offers special school group performances of MainStreet Theatre Company productions for teachers and students in elementary and middle school.
