The Launch Essentials Workshop with Anne Samoilov
Before we get started…
• I’ll answer as many questions as I can at the end of the training today!
• Leave your questions in the Facebook event page right here: http://bit.ly/FLalone - We will keep the conversation going over there after the live webinar.
• Also - love it if you’d share that you’re on the workshop live right now with the hashtag: #fearlesslaunching
• Remember that all of you are at different places in your business and likely have different experiences with launching…so always think about your own launch and how to apply these principles!

What started to happen… Me > Behind The Scenes
Even though I learn a LOT working on other people’s launches…
I had to ask myself…Do you want to be Santa or the Top Elf?
Are you a number 1 or a number 2? Are you happy supporting or leading?
My problem: I was a number 1…
pretending I could be happy as a number 2
When I took the leap: My list was small.
My reach was small. I had no budget.
I had no time. !
But what I did have…
Passion. A clear idea based on a clear need.
A willingness to do what it would take. And a hunger for making it work.
But the real a-ha…
Do the same thing for myself that I’d been doing for others.
Decide What To Launch
What is a launch?
An online or offline event where you create excitement for an upcoming release of a product, service or new business.
!
And usually the end result you’re going for is $$$$.
How do I choose what to launch first?
Can I launch a website?
Should I launch a low priced product first?
Should I do a free challenge to lead up to my launch?
Should I release an ebook?
The only person who can answer these questions.
Easy avatar exercise: Pick your favorite person to work with (a
real existing person)…write out that person’s story.

What ELSE might be stopping your launch success?
6 phases of a launch
1. Gather Intel2. Leak & Build Excitement3. Keep it flowing4. Gather Partners5. Double check the tech6. Make the PUSH7. Close things down
1. Gather IntelTake action: Take a quick inventory of all the main channels you use to reach your audience and pick the top 5 or other people who might be part of your world in someway. Include social media, email, website, live events. !List out all the ways you are communicating through those current channels RIGHT NOW.
2. Leak The Message
Take Action: !Make a list of the social media messages you’ll use over the 4 weeks leading up to your launch. !Example: 1-2 sneak peak messages week 1, maybe a question added to that on week 2 along with a p.s. in your email, 3-4 talk about upcoming training, and then promote the free training in those two weeks too.
3. Build Excitement & Keep It Natural
Take Action: !Add communication pieces like emails and blog posts to your launch leaking list - what blog posts can I write that directly relate to my upcoming launch? What emails can I write to tell people more directly that a launch is coming? !What else can I do to prepare my audience and make sure they are “ready to consume” my offer? !
4. Gather PartnersTake Action: !Create 3 lists of 5-10 people each. !1. People who support you and are willing to spread the word without compensation to their tribes. 2. Past clients or customers who you can ask for their stories and “social proof”… find people who already share your content and offers on a regular basis. 3. People who can help you put together the launch — whether they are paid or unpaid.
5. Double Check the Tech
!Take action: Make yourself a checklist of things you know you don’t know how to set up right now. !Then - list out all the things that likely may need to “double check” before you go live….even if that’s week’s away. !Now go do those things right now. The secret to opening the doors is taking care of
6. Make The Push
!Take action: Brainstorm a few simple ways to add a little bit pressure to someone’s purchase decision. !Maybe you do an early bird period for 48 hours with an added bonus. Maybe you have a tiered pricing that increases as you go past certain dates. !The earlier someone buys the better! Keep it simple. And the easiest thing you can do is create an early bird bonus for people who take action fast.
7. Shut it down!Take action: Start a running checklist anything that will need to be reset to normal after your launch: !- your sales page redirected to interest page - your order form redirected to interest page - remove any launch mentions from your email auto responders - remove any mentions in blog posts - remove hellobars !And think of a way to thank your audience for hanging in there while you likely sent out more communication.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed….!
• No one performs at the high level you might think they do • Everyone needs a push to get things done and to keep moving
forward • Everyone gets overwhelmed • Everyone needs to be told to stop it already • Everyone needs to let go when things don’t work out as planned &
find solutions • Everyone needs to have an honest ear to talk to • And everyone has had to shut down a project because it didn’t work
